Lol this is a mistake. Somebody is going to slip up and say it. My advice, stay away from spoiler OR speculation pages. Trust me, if you think you don't want to know, you don't want to know. I kinda regret reading it now.

You want to know the spoiler but not know it?

If I post the what it's about and who it's about, that's it. "Blank" happens to "Blank" would litterally be the spoiler and possibly ruin it for you.

 

All we could possibly tell you is that somebody dies. Haha

It's basically something that everyone has assumed since before filming started but now jason wrote about it, somehow making it "official."

Avoiding the major spoilers of the last days. But how the f#ck is the 'mourning' thread still existent with that title. That's as spoilerish as it gets. Annoying.

 

One of the OT characters has a secret send off, but I would like to note that this is a speculation.
The movie is not finished yet, nobody saw it, not even the best source/whistleblower on this planet!
I don't want to sound disrespectful, but the source where this rumor is coming from is acting important and is showing off.
Maybe five people are in the full know about the script - JJ, L.Kasdan, K.Kennedy, B.Iger and maybe G.Lucas. (maybe some more at Disney)
The other people involved in the production don't need to know, only excerpts. (including actors and John Williams at a early stage)
Just for us to remember during the duel between Vader and Luke in Ep.V the dialog was not known to the actors.
They got the text during the filming of the scene.
Who knows maybe the movie gets changed in the last minute before it's release. (reshoots/cutting or whatever)
I would only trust the source if he is the cutter from Ep.VII or one of the mentioned names above.
So who cares what a source has to say, it's just guessing as good as yours or mine.
In the end spoilers will ruin the experience during watching, if everything is known before the movie premiere.

I'm not quite sure how I would feel about it if that scene ends up in the movie. I am starting to wonder if this would be where Chewie loses an arm, which could explain the concept art of him with a fake arm.

I can't remember where I heard it, possibly in the bonus features on the Ep. V DVD, the lines that David Prowse got for that scene were quite different than what James Earl Jones recorded, and only Mark and George knew what the real lines were when it was filmed.

I agree completely. In the end this is just a rumor. It may be accurate. It may be intentional misinformation coming from JJ, maybe even a scene that was filmed to throw people off knowing that it was highly likely to be leaked. It may have some truth to it with some speculation thrown in. It may be completely off. We will not know for sure until the movie is on screen.

 

The line Prowse said was "Obi-Wan killed your father" and that is what was in the script. George told Mark right before the scene was filmed

 

I think at the moment r2d2 would be called to release Luke's new lightsaber again, not that it would not do much good considering he his a ghost now.

On-topic, I guess, but like others I don't know how to share a rumor without potentially spoiling you. Most rumors now are being taken as "not fact but almost there" it seems like, everyone being so sure of what they are saying.

Better just to not read any rumors and steer clear of the TFA section entirely.

A "misinformation campaign" has been alleged to be going on since the start basically. I personally don't think he really is, but I know quite a few people do.

 

I think it's time to stay away from all sites. It's getting too hot and some people really are not careful enough with threas titles and spoilerish info in general. Don't know where to get my Star Wars fixes then but I really don't want to get too spoiled. Have stayed away from the major spoilers but because of the thread titles I now know stuff I really did not want to know...
