Star Wars Battlefront 2

Battlefront is the only game where I've both had an extreme amount of fun and been very disappointed. I think if they keep the gameplay mechanics, which are great and fast paced, but add more content, more to unlock, more to do, I'll love the sequel.

 

Topic of this title is pretty misleading IMO, made me think it was about the original Battlefront II. Perhaps change the name to Battlefront IV because technically the sequel to the reboot is the 4th entry in the series? Food for thought.

Anyway, I'm very pessimistic about a sequel to the reboot because of how the first one turned out. And because the publisher hasn't changed. (EA lived up to their reputation with that last game :/)

 

The first thing I can say is when I Star Wars: Battlefront Kaufen, it reminded me why I love Star Wars in the first place. Battlefront has an amazing surface appeal but what it lacks is depth of design. The maps look fantastic but they lack focussed design. There are a many modes in this game; almost 9; but not all are satisfactory. At a point of time, you seem to get bored. The one thing I loved about Battlefront is how it looks and how it sounds. The sound design, dynamic lightings gives the feel of a nuanced detailed world which makes you fell good about the game.

 

It's actually Battlefront 3...we had Battlefront 1 and 2 fOR PS2& PSP and all and now Year (2015) which is the third official entry . This op is being too optimistic in having a sequel as this game isn't built for sequels. He gaming industry these days has DLC and expansion packs unless there's a brand new story. SW stories all coincide directly within each other so DLC paid expansion packs are the most viable option both financially and critically .

 

The game is beautiful. The developers definitely took their time trying to make each of the maps look and feel real. Lighting was gorgeous. Gameplay-wise, the game is fun, but the game was definitely content-light at first. Almost like they had left out half of the game.

They are slowly fixing that, which is good, but I would like to see more content come the next title.

My Wishlist for the next Battlefront:
1. A campaign, or multiple campaigns.
2. More planets.
3. Prequel/Sequel Era content.
4. Space Battles. Maybe with controllable frigates?
5. "Unique" units. Maybe as a Star Card, you could play as a special unit that has a gameplay style much different from standard characters. d
6. More vehicles. The Rebels need some sort of vehicle to respond to the Imperials. Also, maybe some sort of way to make the AT-ATs controllable? And I would love to see bombers actually playable. Maybe even some low-altitude corvettes or something?
7. More hero ships. I know we have Slave I and the Falcon, but more heroes had their own ships. Surely they could figure out a way to represent that?
8. More heroes at launch.

 

I only ever had it on my PSP but it was frellig awesome...I just wish video games would have stayed that way instead of having paywalls and stupid bantha fodder like that.

 

i love the game, play it all the time. i really wish we had some content passed the original. (perosnally i wish the just put kylo ren in there already then ill be happy)

 

Yeah I thought that this game was always the best SW one there is...I actually am hoping that the next Battlefront being released , I think , next year or in 2018 is going to be like this one.

 

I really want to play as the First Order in Battlefront 2.

 

Then it's good news for you since it's going to have more ST story stuff built in.

 

Playing as Kylo would be a joy!

Obi-Wan Kenobi and Grand Moff Tarkin should be in the next Battlefront Game, if they dont get to be in the last one

 

I feel like more gamers will like Battlefront 2 cuz they actually have to time to make a good story and explore new planets which they failed in my opinion for the most part in Eas first Battlefront.

@SKB Such a classic! I still remember the day I first got it. I've had multiple copies since then due to them always getting so scratched up. I finally have a fix for that and that is I have an online copy thanks to Steam! I haven't played the game in forever, tho. I downloaded so much DLC onto it from BF2 dedicated websites, it was hardly the same game anymore

 

Damn! I'm misplaced my copy hopefully i can find it.

 

@SithSorcererofdeath If you can't find your copy, just buy it off Steam. I'm sure its pretty cheap now & you don't have to worry about always trying to find your CD version and putting it in all the time

 

I'm a console gamer so thats kinda hard, but ill probably get a gaming laptop sometime in the future.
