I'm starting to get seriously pumped for this game and TLJ now (pffft, like I wasn't before)!

Still waiting on my early access beta passcode from Amazon though (pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition) :/ anyone else got their beta code yet?

Check out the EA Star Wars Tweeter feed: https://twitter.com/EAStarWars They're posting gifs, which describe "plots" for all maps in the Galactic Assault mode. I love the fact that it seems to be unique for all locations. Examples:

I know that majority of them will probably be similar in terms of gameplay, but I'm sure it's going to feel fresh across locations at least to some extent. The three-stage Battle Station mode was hands down the best in the first game. It's cool that we're getting variations of it on all maps in BFII.

They cut down the number of modes this time, but well... Maybe that's good, because there were only a couple of really popular modes in the first one.

If you have not read Inferno Squad it is absolutely worth it if you are interested in this game.

I've read it, the characters are spot on as to how I imagined them in the book! The book was also...suprising....in its mature themes to say the least. It's almost a story about a CIA ops infiltrating an ISIS cell and finding out how sympathetic they all are. In many years of Star Wars I haven't read anything like it. But the Battlefront I novel was also spot on!

Yeah, much of it had a vibe of a Mission Impossible team more than it had an Imperial vibe. I believe that these characters are true patriots to their Empire and aren't the evil that Sheev and Vader were.

So I've been thinking about what expansions we might be getting in future. We know that in December there will be a TLJ one which will add Finn & Phasma, as well as Crait and space battle over D'Qar. So if 2 heroes and two locations (ground and space) are the template, here are some predictions:

    1) RotS themed expansion - Mustafar and battle over Coruscant with Anakin & Obi-Wan as heroes. The cool thing about Anakin is that they could make him available for both sides - heroes and villains. And Mustafar would be so cool... I really hope this one is in the making.

    2) Rogue One themed expansion - Eadu/Jedah/Scarif as the ground map and Scarif shield gate for space. Jyn and Krennic as heroes. I think they might go with Eadu or Jedah over Scarif, because we had Scarif in the original Battlefront and it looks like they're trying to give us different content.

    3) I imagine some Han Solo spin-off content is certainly on the table.

How much DLC will actually be free? Cmon this is EA we are talking about. They did implement those Loot Boxes but that’s not enough for them.

They claim all DLC will be free, so I'm really worried about those loot crates. There's no doubt they will try to extort as much money as possible. I bet they've come up with a model which is supposed to give them exactly the same profit as the paid expansions from the first game.

So it's all about the balance now. If it turns out that it's impossible to keep up with the players who pay for the crates without buying them yourself, the game is doomed... And I'll be seriously pissed off.
