Got to play some of the Death Star DLC tonight. Its very nostalgic, reminds me of the old BF2 days. It is very cool doing all the space combat but it would be even nicer if like you could launch from hangers like in BF2...

A little let down from the Death Star DLC. I think some extra game modes would have made it. Battlestation seems like a cop-out to me. Some more ground battle modes such as Extraction would have made it a lot better.

    6/10 for me.

I feel like this is the weakest DLC of them all. Bespin was incredible and Outer Rim was fun; Death Star was underwhelming. Let's hope the next DLC; Scarif from Rogue One is a lot stronger!

As an ace fighter pilot I really enjoyed Battle Station mode at first(it's been great for my K/D), however the repetition gets old fast, it's definitely lacking modes right now. Worse yet, the AI fighter pickups have completely screwed the normal Fighter Squadron game mode with people spamming them all over the place.

Couldn't agree more. At first it's fun and fast-paced but it aged in a couple of days for me. If some more game modes were added then I'd be down but right now I'd still rather play Bespin.

I'm yet to play DS, so hoping to tonight! I disagree on Bespin, I found it slightly soulless (apart from the carbonite chamber which wa sfast and chaotic!) but Outer Rim was fun I agree there :)

Fair play. I loved Extraction from Out Rim... especially in Jabba's Palace. Hours and hours of fun.

Well over here in England, each DLC pack costs £12.99 to download, on top of the initial £50 to buy the original game in the first place (and obviously the monthly PS Online charge)

Just wanted to give a little PSA on known hackers for the PC version.

    S0C10P47H

Apparently is well-documented for the month of November of showing up in peoples games and ruining all the fun with auto-aim, wall hacks, and all that jazz. Racks up kills in the hundreds, and sticks around for SEVERAL matches. Ruined my whole afternoon of trying to get a good match in today.

First thing that clued me in was that the first couple times he killed me, I died of "lava" on a map with no lava. Then the fact I could only survive 1-2 seconds each spawn before dying to them each time made it clear.

Several videos on Youtube document this user cheating. I've reported them twice through two methods to EA, but since they've apparently been reported as early as November 6th I'm sure that'll do nothing.

I agree! My favorite game mode + map.

Do they eventually have plans to incorporate all game modes into all maps? Obviously some modes won't work for every map, but Extraction should be do-able for most areas. That would be a blast in the Death Star! My favorite part of Battle Station is the second game, with R2... probably because it is very similar to Extraction.

Also, I have been playing since the game's release, on here since May, and just now thought to look for a thread for it....

As much as I would love to see it, with Rogue One: Scarif being the end of the DLC releases and DICE's heavier focus on making Battlefront II, it looks unlikely. The only additional content confirmed for eventual release in the future, so far, are new costumes for Luke, Han, & Leia for the Death Star maps (costumes that should have been included with the DLC on release...).

You're probably right, but I think that they'll end up porting a lot of content from the original game into the sequel. (And then they'll hide a fraction of the reused content behind a paywall, because lol EA.) The point being that some modes could be added to pre-existing maps after they're modified to fit into the new game.

Sounds about right. Just curious, did you guys end up playing like I did, which was basically just play the newest DLC until the new one came out? I didn't find myself going back to play the older maps that often, the only ones I do go back to is the Outer Rim for Extraction. But I hardly ever play the original maps now.

In other news, Rogue One: Scarif update dropped last night! I haven't had a chance to play yet, but was surprised to see that it was already available.

This game is great and has so much potential for the future of SW gaming, I really hope they make gameplay more important in the next Battlefront games than worrying about violating "canon". which make sense I guess in an RPG type game but not in Battlefront. They need to go balls out with Battlefront 2 and have the freedom to create the great game they can make without Disney interference. The R1 DLC is amazing! Its by far the best in my experience. soo hyped for the movie!
