EVENT Star Wars Celebration Orlando Weekend Skype Event

We will be doing our usual joint Skype event during Star Wars Celebration Orlando with TAOSWF and StarWarsNewsNet for all of you who can't go and are going to watch the stream, like myself. The fun will begin on Thursday, April 13, 2017 with the first panel hosted by Warwick Davis for the 40th Anniversary of Star Wars and continuing through the rest of the day. Then we will be turning on Friday, April 14 to the biggest panel hit, The Last Jedi, which will have Rian Johnson, Kathleen Kennedy, and many secret guests. Saturday and Sunday will be optional days and will not currently have Skype party hosts.

Currently Saturday is up for grabs for anyone who would like to host in my place, but I will be back to host again on Sunday, April 16 again, but times are yet to be determined.

We are still working on trying to get you guys badges for your attendance with this event much like last year. I will be working with @Viral Hide on some options for you guys and make sure to compensate for your time with a badge noting your attendance during the weekend event. These events always seem to turn out great and I expect the event to be a great success once again this year.

No, it's only a live event. I mean, I could record it, but the file sizes would be astronomical and seeing as some people don't listen to long podcasts, I don't see too much of an interest in it. If enough of you are interested in listening in to the Skype event after it happens, I will record it.

Always! Not our first time hosting these events. They always turn out great. This is our first ever weekend long event. Still looking for a host for Saturday since I got stuck working that morning, but we will at least be doing events on Thursday, Friday, and Sunday for certain. Generally 5 to 20 people show up and it's just a really fun time.

 

We are almost 2 weeks away from Celebration! With Dennis Lawson confirmed to appear in Orlando, it is definitely an amazing time to be a Star Wars fan. What would you all like to see in our Skype event this year?

 

We are just a mere two weeks away from cheering as we ring in another Star Wars Celebration once again. If you are like myself and simply cannot attend Celebration, no worries! We've got you covered here. Come join us Celebration weekend on April 13, 14, and 16 as we have a massive Skype party. These events always turn out great and you don't want to miss the event and festivities on Friday, April 14 especially as we all watch The Last Jedi panel together and geek out as one group. Thanks to our friends here at TAOSWF and SWNN for always making these events so much fun. We hope to see you all at 10AM EDT starting Thursday, April 13.​

 

This is completely for those who can't go. Those participating in the event are all non-attendees. However there are lots of options of meeting fellow SWNN members elsewhere at the convention. @Pomojema and @AstromechRecords are going to be there for sure.

Join us at 10AM EDT on Friday, April 14 as we prepare to watch the trailer for The Last Jedi together on Skype. We will be watching the panels, discussing the trailer, and many theories throughout the day. All the contact details are at the top of the post. Also, we have officially added Saturday, April 15 back into the schedule so we now officially have 4 days of Skype fun for everyone who cannot attend.​

 

As much as I would have loved to go, we will still have just as much fun all 4 days. New podcast coming at you guys some time tomorrow, another early next week, and then our Celebration Preview episode on Wednesday leading into Celebration. Busy next 2 weeks ahead of us here at SWNN.

 

Glad to keep you guys busy and having a ton of fun hyping up this event. Going to be a total blast! Considering extending day 1 on Thursday, April 13 to 7:30 or 8:00pm EDT if the Carrie Fisher Tribute by Mark Hamill is livestreamed.
