Star Wars: Chimera

So the only 'live action' star wars idea I've heard over the years is this star wars underworld idea that was supposedly Lukas'. Each episode would be largely disconnected contained stories.

What do people think of a star wars show based around a crew...similar to firefly, the expanse, or the kotor crew. You could also say like rebels but slightly more adult.

The crew could consist of a ragtag mix of humans, aliens and droids. Each with backstories that would be explored as the series continues. They could also come across familiar characters although primarily wouldn't interact too much with the 'saga' adventures.

They could go on adventures around the galaxy ideally based post ROTJ...with the backdrop of a diminishing empire.

My initial idea was that it could be captained by an ex imperial officer who has decided to escape after the empire has been put in disarray. This could be a point of conflict as it would tie in with the morality and grey characters opposed to the traditional evil/good that Disney is shying away from.

This would be hidden from the crew initially, but could be hunted down by the ISB while they traverse the galaxy. They could also have run-ins with aliens, bounty hunters, black sun, empire, rebels, sith temple ala Indiana jones/Egyptian adventure etc.

Other crew members could be pirates, soldiers, engineers, spies, smugglers etc. all with a mix of moralities.

I also think that there should be a 'fake' force user. A character that uses cybernetic enhanced technology to trick people into thinking he is a force user.

Anyway...just the ramblings of a star wars fan.
