SPECULATION Star Wars Episode VIII Teaser

celebration 2017 folks- you heard it here first. they don't need to release a teaser 1.5 years before the film, especially considering the star wars hype is larger than ever AND another film needs promotion that will be out in another 6 months.

 

I've been trying to explain that but nobody will listen. Alot of people are convinced that a teaser will be released at Celebration or with Rogue One so let them believe what they want. When a trailer is not released at Celebration or with Rogue One, im gonna laugh my a$$ off.

 

Dear god I hope you're right.. They have more than enough time to make a trailer to attach to Rogue One. I just dont want to get my hopes up and be disappointed.

 

I think they will release a title and small teaser for VIII before Rogue One so people know that they're two different movies, and don't go in to Rogue One expecting Episode VIII.

 

They dont need to release a teaser for people to know that they are two different movies, they just need to release the title for episode 8 to let people know that. Episode 8 teaser will be released in 2017.

I also think a first teaser trailer will arrive in December with the Rogue One movie. Its pretty common nowadays that big movies like Star Wars have a teaser trailer 1 year before the movie itself hits worldwide release.

This celebration will mostly be about R1 so I don't expect an Ep VIII teaser. At first thought, maybe a teaser teaser like they had for EpVII but now not so sure. It probably will depend on who will be at celebration. We know Hamill, Fisher and KK will be there but what about Rian Johnson? IF he is there then MAYBE but if not I don't see anything like a teaser being shown. Would be nice to see some BTS though.

 

I say title announcement at SWC, teaser in front of Rogue One, teaser 2 near Guardians of the Galaxy 2 release and full trailer around Thor: Ragnarok release, with perhaps online debut a few weeks prior.

No VIII teaser until next April, the same as no Rogue One teaser until last month. For the most part, I think Lucasfilm is going to focus on one film at a time. It helps to keep the confusion to a minimum.

If they showed a VIII teaser before Rogue One then that would let the casual moviegoer know that they're different. I'd bet they'll release a teaser around Thanksgiving 2016 like they did with TFA. That's less than a month before Rogue One which means they can show that trailer in front of Rogue One as well.

 

thats true. but releasing the first teaser trailer for ep VIII in front of another Star Wars movie would make sense. so we might get to see the ep VIII teaser trailer sooner than we think.

Exactly. They only made an exception the previous November with TFA's first teaser because there wasn't a Star Wars film coming out that year. They wanted to give us something to hold us over until April. At least, that's my impression of things.

Probably. Think the only Ep VIII related stuff we will get this year will be the title of the movie..

 

Ofcourse you are intitled to your opinion, but you are setting yourself up for disappointment. There will be no teaser in front of Rogue One.
