SPECULATION Star Wars Episode VIII Teaser

I wouldn't even call that a teaser because it was made specifically for SWC and was like 11 seconds or so long...VIII would have proper footage from the movie just like TFA did.

 

what about a teaser with rogue One ???

 

Sorry buddy dont expect a teaser trailer till April/May 2017. If you do you will just be disappointed.

 

Like this one when they announced they started shooting. I could see that yeah.

 

An EP VIII teaser in November or December is not out of the question at all. I'll say that there is an 50/50% chance of it happening.

 

We are talking about a TEASER TRAILER, not a production video of any kind. Leave those production videos OUT of the discussion. They have NOTHING to do with a teaser trailer.

 

Relax. I know we are talking about a teaser trailer. If you read my post, you could have seen that i was responding on someone else who was talking about a end of production video/teaser. The video is a tease of Episode VIII and a beginning of production video.

Again relax. Look I do not know you, but i'm reading in your posts in this topic a tone I dislike. (This is my perception I could be wrong.) But: You do not get to decide what a teaser is. You do not get to decide what i can post or not. You do not get to decide what we can hope for. Your opinion about the matter if we get a teaser with Celebration, december, I don't care when, how logical your thought proces is: it is not law. This is a forum there can be multiple conversations in one topic at a time. People can speculate, people can have different opinions. All i ask you to do is respect other people's opinions and posts without shooting them down immediatly. We all want to have a nice time here.

OT: A teaser with Celebration or December. Hmmmm....There is a possibility but best way is expect nothing but never lose hope.

 

As you say I do not get to decide anything in here, and the same goes for YOU! You do not get to decide what and who I should respect and not respect. So shut your face, mind your own buisiness and stop acting like you own this place.

 

Genuine question, what do you consider a teaser trailer to be? Does it have to include footage? Does it have to be a specific length? I'm actually really curious, cause to me, that Episode VIII production video could be considered a teaser trailer in that it raised interest for Episode VIII for those who might not have known about it's production, and that shot of Rey and Luke was such a tease! But seriously, what do you consider a teaser trailer to be?

 

I think if we see anything at SWC this year, maybe it'll be a couple of seconds of footage similar to R1 at SWC last year. Don't expect a teaser until around SWC Orlando next April. Then, it's possible we could have a full blown trailer by September/October 2017

 

I've said this and I'm sticking by it -- I'm so sure that these will be the dates of all VIII releases:

Title Reveal - Star Wars Celebration 2016 (July 16th, 2016)

(9 months of Rogue One marketing)

First Teaser - Star Wars Celebration 2017 (April 14th, 2017)

(3 months)

Second Teaser - D23 Expo 2017 (July 15th, 2017)

(3 months)

Final Trailer - 2 months before film release (October 16th, 2017)

(2 months)

Film Release - December 15th, 2017

 

What would make a good first teaser for Episode VIII? What would you want to see in it?

 

It's probably going to be something between TFA's first teaser and Rogue One's first teaser. Some dialogue, shots of film, maybe some more dialogue, and ends on an action sequence.

 

Could this be something teaser related ???

 

For me a teaser trailer is like the first one we saw for TFA with footage from the actual movie, not reused/reshot footage from the previous movie. See the reason why i dont consider it a teaser trailer is because we already saw that scene in TFA ending, so there is nothing new about it. Ergo, there is nothing Episode VIII related to it in my opinion.

 

It's getting awfully feisty in here... We need a teaser trailer, and fast!!

 

I would imagin it could be something to the effect of what they did with Terminator 2 back in the days.
Not scenes from the movie itself but just a couple of shots of the actors with a lightsaber and blasters or something. The best way to discribe it would be with this video.

 

when does epsiode 8 end production ??

 

Principal Photography will end shortly before SWC Europe.

Today I had an idea for a very short "teaser trailer" (maybe about 15-20 secs) :

The teaser starts with a shot of Vader´s burned mask. An unmasked and wounded Kylo Ren takes the mask and examines it without saying a word (=> like in that TFA concept art).
Then cut to black, a voiceover starts (the voice sounds like Vader but slightly changed because it isn´t the real Vader): "The dark side is your ally." => STAR WARS + titel reveal.

This type of a teaser would be perfect for SWC.
