SPECULATION Star Wars Episode VIII Teaser

if Principal Photography will end shortly before SWC, wont that be to short of time to make a teaser in ?? i mean does it take days or a couple of weeks to make a teaser ??? dont they have to get all the footage delivered to the studio first and edit it and stuff before they can make a teaser ???

 

This questions is hard to answer, my friend. To make a teaser/trailer can literally take several weeks/months.

But the studio doesn´t need the fully fledged footage for making a teaser/trailer. Usually trailers are started before principal photography is finished that means the studio can only use what has been shot so far.
But like I said, you need a lot of effort and work for a teaser/trailer. The perfect trailer requires editing, re-editing, overhauls and the right tone.

So you shouldn´t expect a big teaser at SWC. But they don´t have to show us a teaser, no, just give us a small footage clip. Like in the production announcement video.

i'm not expecting anything. i will not get my hopes up and be disappointed. but a small 15 - 20 seconds Episode 8 promo would be great.

Just an FYI. I've noticed a few comments through the six pages talk about the RO teaser at celebration last year as a guide for the VIII teaser. If i'm remembering correctly, that was pure CGI just to announced the movies existence, in fact i think they also went on to make clear that shot with the TIE and DS weren't even going to be in the movie. So we can't really take that on face value as really being the first "RO Teaser". It was an announcement video.

I possibly could see Celebration or Comic Con being used to show images of people in the movie and maybe announce tran and de toro's characters. Hell that might be stretching it. HOwever, people should severely limit their expectations for VIII info at Celebration or Comic Con

 

As I recall that was the second trailer at Anaheim Celebration.

 

I could see something like that happening at SWC. It would combine the title with a short and effective promo..

Good point and question. Not that I know of but we will probably find out soon enough. I will laugh my a$$ off if it turns out to be a photo shoot because I have talked to alot of people in my circles who are expecting a video promo at SWC. I know 7 or 8 people who are attending Celebration and they are all expecting some sort of video promo for Episode VIII.

 

I am talking about the very first one when they show the tie wing flying at the deathstar = teaser one lol

 

It seems like Star Wars Junk are the only ones at the moment who think it is an video shoot.. But since there is no official statement about the promo we won't know for sure until it is released, when ever that may be..
