The Star Wars Kids YouTube channel is back with a new series that will teach kids (and adults) some of the secrets and finest details of the galaxy. In the new series of shorts, titled Galaxy of Creatures, Lucasfilm takes us on a journey of exploring some of our favorite creatures featured in the Star Wars canon. Today, they released the official trailer as well as the first two shorts, focused on porgs and banthas.

    Here's the official synopsis:

According to StarWars.com, ten more episodes are coming, and they will focus on creatures ranging from wampas to rancors. Galaxy of Creatures is not the first time the YouTube channel has tried to introduce the Star Wars galaxy to our youngest generations -- former series like this include Star Wars: A to Z or Star Wars: Much to Learn.

Matt Martin, senior creative executive on the Lucasfilm Story Group, said in a statement:

Two episodes will come out every Thursday on the Star Wars Kids YouTube channel. The series has also inspired a line of Stitchlings plush by Mattel, currently available to pre-order here.
