Star Wars Legends could take inspiration from Dragon Ball Multiverse

This may be an unpopular opinion but to me, the EU material was basically published fan fiction. This is in no way a criticism as many of my favourite writers started on such works.

In my mind, instead of stopping it, we should continue to expand this as well as explore different possibilities as to where the continuity could go.

I remember a year ago when I was collecting Dragon Ball manga (Dragon Ball 1-16, Dragon Ball Z (complete box set) Dragon Ball Super 1-7, Jaco Galactic Patrolman and some god-awful isekai about someone being reincarnated as Yamcha) and watching the anime (all of it), I came across something called Dragon Ball Multiverse.

For those of you who do not know, Dragon Ball Multiverse is a collective creative enterprise of works created and submitted by fans of the series with their own unique and different takes on what could have been if decisions at key junctures were different as well as an opportunity to explore new and interesting stories with original characters within the Dragon Ball universe.

The question I have is how to replicate this with Star Wars and whether this could be done.

 

Collect all work and :

a) Apply a "centralized" control canonizing a segment of them and ditching the rest. This will lead to +1 universe, or
b) Break down by topic or any other criteria you want and organize on that principle. To visualize this, imagine a straight line, and tree diagrams popping out at points. This will lead to >1 universes.

The first will soon evolve into endless fighting and dissolve. The second is just a way of organizing what can already be found at many forums over the fan fiction threads.

Typically you can begin work at b) without anyone else; Take 10 threads from here and start sorting per point of origin.

Or, download discord, join star war servers, and ... well I hope you don't have much to do in RL, cause peps can be hardcore and demanding
