    This is what is tripping me up the most right now. Because, technically I'm writing the story... But I have to marry what I have in mind with a story that the Writer I pick would tell.

    Yeah. it's really to give people a better idea of what to expect.
    If I say I'm writing it, no one has ever seen my work so it wouldn't do much to enhance a story presented....but if I say it's being written by Guillermo del Toro everyone knows what to expect.

    Think of it like this, if you will, you're giving yourself the vaunted George Lucas title of "Story by" but the actual screenplay would be written by your choice.
    Raiders of the Lost Ark is written by Larry Kasdan but the story credit is Lucas. That's how I would approach it

    If it's an established pair that are seen as a duo it will be allowed as one pick (such as the Safdie bros, Coen bros, Wachowskis)
    but if you want a less common pairing (ex: Lucas and Spielberg) it'd have to be two picks since they aren't really a duo as much as occasional collaborators.

    Does that sound fair enough?

    So just confirming, you cannot jump a turn and have to wait on picks to happen until it gets to you and then you can draft a director/ writer/ actor, so we are waiting for
    @Use the Falchion to go now correct and then after him the order would commence?

    And this is out of a pool of whatever people you want right? Just none “retired” or already drafted?
