GAME Star Wars NFL Pick 'Em IV

Welcome To:
STAR WARS NFL PICK 'EM IV
..with each new season comes A New Hope...​

This is a game in which you choose Star Wars inspired NFL teams that will win each weekend's matchup. At the end of the season, the player with the most points will be our winner. @Cole will be defending his title of last year's PICK 'EM CHAMP... will he repeat, or will a new champ be crowned??

Buy-in is a one time 50 credit fee this year. To play, please transfer 50 credits to @Wuher with the note: STAR WARS PICK 'EM.

Premise:
During the regular season, we pick from 7 pre-set matchups weekly. At the end of the regular season we will move on to playoffs and eventually the Super Bowl. Last year, when we got to the playoffs we decided to up the ante and make games worth more, with a slightly different format. For the Super Bowl we also had some more fun and included some prop bets as bonus points. (See last year's Pick 'Em as a reference)

All are welcome to join! It doesn't matter whether you are a newcomer or an avid fan, anything can happen in this game!

The person who has the most points following the Super Bowl will win an 800 credit pot and the PICK 'EM IV game ball trophy:



Rules:
Regular Season:

• Players choose the winner of 7 pre-set matchups; each week we will pick the primetime games (Thursday Night, Sunday Night, and Monday Night) as well as 4 games from the early schedule on Sunday that look to be the most intriguing / closest matchups.
• I will disclose the games to be picked on Tuesday of each week.
• Please be sure to submit your picks before each game begins. Since we will always be picking the Thursday games, I suggest to have all your picks in by the start of that game (Thursday 8:30 PM EST). If you're indecisive like me, you're more than welcome to change your picks of the other games at any time provided you do so before they begin. (We can see when and how a post is edited, so no cheating please!)
• Each winning pick is worth 1 point. Pick all 7 games correctly and you get 7 points for the week. Pick 5 and you get 5, etc. Picking incorrectly does not count against you.

Playoffs:

• Same premise; pick the winner of each game
• Additionally, assign a confidence point value to each pick; in a week where there are 4 games to choose from, you would designate your most confident pick with 4, then 3, 2, and 1 accordingly. (A perfect week is worth 10 points in total)
• Conference Championship picks are worth 15 points each

Super Bowl:

• The winning pick is worth 25 points.
• In the event of a tie, the player choosing the final score that is closest to the actual score will determine the winner.
• Prop bets will be included as bonus. (Each correct bet worth a 0.5 bonus)

The Standings will be updated weekly on Tuesday.

Hey guys everyone having a nice summer OHMYGOD the regular season starts tomorrow!! Totally thought there was another week or two before that happened (what's today? It's not July??), anyways as @Cole said let's get it on!!!

I'm tagging everyone from last year, and others that I think have shown interest recently. Please don't assume this to be an obligation to join the game, and please share with others you think could be interested! The more the merrier, I will do a bit more recruiting myself but don't want to spam the Cantina too much.

PS - In the interest of time (unless everything ends up working out here perfectly and at lightspeed) the only change to the format described above and for the first week only, we will not pick the Thursday game and instead pick the other Monday night game in its place. This will, hopefully, give us enough time to get everyone in and "settled" before the picks have to be in.

Well, I always was a fan of big scoring and high-powered offense.

We can definitely change it up if that's what everyone prefers. Compared to last year it's really only adding 2 extra games to pick from and there were times where I was thinking "What about that game?" so I thought this would be a better way to incorporate more diversity in the match-ups, but I do understand what you are saying.

Again, I'm open to anything!
