I mentioned it earlier this week, but two of my friends and I are playing a little pitch game. In our game, Kathleen Kennedy has been given a directive by the higher-ups to create exclusive Star Wars content for Disney+. She has a blank check to fund it, and she's hired me and my friends to come up with ideas. One person gives a prompt and all three of us get to pitch ideas with casts if possible. (So far in the form of an amusing dialogue with KK herself.)

I thought I'd put the pitch themes and my own casting here. I may ask my friends permission to share their own pitches down the line, but for now I feel comfortable just sharing my own. However, if anyone else wants to participate and share their own ideas and casting and ideas, please do so!

The first was to recreate the OT in order to implement a Multiverse even later down the line.

My recreated OT cast so far:
Producers: Ryan Coogler & Jon Favreau

    ANH - Relight
Writers: Guillermo del Toro & Ryan Coogler
    Director: Steven Caple Jr.

    ESB - Rename
Writers: Guillermo del Toro, Aaron Covington, and Ava DuVernay
    Director: Ava DuVernay

    ROTJ - Redeem
Writers - Guillermo del Toro, Aaron Covington
    Director: Guillermo del Toro

    Trilogy Casting:

Actor 1 - Marcus Scribner (Luke)

    Actor 2 - Zendaya (Leia)

    Actor 3 - Avan Jogia - (Han Solo )

Actor 4 - Kimiko Glenn (Dr. Aphra)

    Actor 5 - Gugu Mbathu-Raw (Sana Solo)

Actor 6 - Rahul Kholi (Lando Calrissian)

    Actor 7 - Daniella Mass (Mara-Jade)

    Actor 8 - Viggo Mortensen (Obi-Wan Kenobi)

Actor 9 - Rinko Kikuchi (Mon Mothma)

Actor 10 - Alexa Chung (PADME)

    Actor 11 - David Oyelowo (Vader’s Voice?)

    Actor 12 - Winston Duke (Vader’s Body)
    And possibly Vader himself…
    [IMG]

Actor 13 - Jason Statham (Boba Fett)

Actor 14 - Katherine McNamara (Amilyn Holdo)

Actor 15 - Amy Poehler (PALPATINE)

    Actor 16 - Moff Tarkin - Undecided.

That's my cast - who would you pick if forced to remake the OT in anticipation of a future crossover down the line?

It's been a couple of months, but I haven't forgotten this thread! It's just been hard, since my friends haven't really posted any updates on their end for the next pitch. But we'll get to that in a moment.

I wanted to say that, after watching The Wheel of Time Season 1 at least twice, I had an idea for a Star Wars story where we follow a group of youths from Tatooine on their adventures in the larger galaxy. I originally wasn't sure if this would be Luke and some of his Tatooine friends, or Anakin and some friends of his. I eventually chose Luke. This then spawned into a show that takes place between Episodes 4 & 5. I call it Star Wars: Rogues. (Gotta keep that R-themed naming!) My little pitch:

After the destruction of the Death Star, Iron Squadron and Red Squadron are combined into the Rogue Squadron, in honor of the Rogue One mission. Rogue Squadron's goals are to go into high-risk, high-reward areas of growth and opportunity for the Rebellion as well as capturing any Force-related items that may be of interest to the Empire. Join the adventures of this unique and highly inspired group of youths - join the Rogues.

OT Reboot and Rogues casting additions so far:

    Barney Harris - Biggs Darklighter

    Camie - Hunter Deno

    Fixer - TBD

Ezra is also cast, but I'm not entirely sure what I want to do with him. He's currently an Inquisitor, but I'm not happy with that at the moment. I know Camie will become a Rebellion sharpshooter while Fixer actually defects to the Empire in ANH. I should also probably cast Iron Squadron at some point...but I'm fine waiting on that.

Anyways, the second pitch was a What If Star Wars series, produced by the Mandalorian crew.

My first idea was called The Lost Skywalker, and it asks "what if Finn was Luke Skywalker's son?" This was a post-TLJ pre-TROS episode where Finn finds out he's Luke Skywalker's son. I mean, if I have a chance to make my crackpot theory into something, I'm going to take it! Basically, Finn must venture out to find the truth behind his birth and abandonment. Meanwhile, in flashbacks we'll see Luke and his lover Tula Markona's tragic love story play out.
I had this as live action, with Sebastian Stan officially cast as Luke Skywalker, and Nafeesa Williams as Tula Markona

The second episode was titled The Eclipse. The pitch is "what if Anakin and Obi-Wan didn't fight at the end of Revenge of the Sith?" At the end of Revenge of the Sith, instead of fighting Anakin, Obi-Wan decides to live up to his moniker as the Negotiator and strikes a deal with his former apprentice - he will let Anakin live as the leader of this new Empire so long as they work together to take out Palpatine, and so long as the original Separtist worlds are allowed to stay separate. Anakin, so afraid to no lose Padme, and so desperate to rule, agrees. The two end up defeating Palpatine and we get to see what happens when the Jedi and Sith work together towards a goal. That's as far as I got with this idea, but the main thinking was that we'd have a cold-war situation for a while, and the dynamics of who is "free" from the Empire would change how the Rebellion is viewed.

The third idea was a game-show set during the Rebels and Rebellion timeframe. Youths from all over the Empire would be picked to compete in the sort of obstacle course gameshow, but as things start to grow weird, several of the contestants would band together to figure out the truth of the show. It would ultimately be revealed that the show was actually a training ground for future Inquisitors. (This also may or may not have been a back-door pilot for a different show.) I guess the pitch for this one would be "what if there was a children's game show in the GFFA?"

That's it for these updates! Any and all future updates for the game on my end will be posted here as well. What are your Star Wars "What If" ideas?
