Anyone have any Star Wars podcasts recommendations? Collider's Jedi Council is great, but that's not a podcast. I've listened to Making Star Wars "Now This is Podcasting" for a few months, but it's terribad. It's a shame since MSW has so much great content, but their podcasts need an editor. The podcasts are way too long and full off topic nonsense. It's kind of strange, because that site has so many podcasts. It seems like they'd be better at it. Or maybe it's just me.

Does anyone here listen to Star Wars podcasts?

http://www.rebelforceradio.com/ - Main show: they are hit or miss for me, either fantastic or the get on my nerves, but Star Wars Oxygen is fantastic - about John Williams's music.

http://fullofsith.com/ - good podcast, very, very positive people though I often disagree

http://tosche-station.net/ - hosted by husband and wife and their frequent friends. I like it, but if you can't handle all-inclusive Star Wars, it might not be for you

http://steelewars.com/ - Australian comedian who loves Star Wars

http://forcecenterpod.podomatic.com/ - Ken Napzok, Joseph Scrimshaw and Jennifer Landa, great

    and of course, Resistance Broadcast!

If you want more, just say. :D

I do listen to a few. One I highly recommend to anyone interested in John Williams's SW music and how music and film interact is Star Wars Oxygen with David W. Collins.

Otherwise, generally I just like to hear what other like-minded people are thinking about ideas or concepts or characters in the movies, or predictions or reactions to trailers or movies themselves. I don't really care about collecting/action figures/toys, casting rumors, name-dropping, or that kind of stuff (which seems to come with most every podcast), so I kind of cherry-pick what I give my full attention to in the podcasts I listen to on a regular basis. I guess by nature podcasts are a bit rambly, because I haven't found any that are immaculately edited yet! :D

If you listen to the first 20 or so podcast of ours I used to spend a ton of time editing.. but it got to be a pain after a while so now I just remove background noise and long pauses between sentences. most of these guys do this sort of thing without getting paid so there really isn't much incentive to spend hours after the recording in the editing room. Especially if the audience doesn't seem to mind the difference. The only way we would know if they do is if they sent us a message or left a comment.... but no one has. lol.

I definitely did not mean that comment about editing as a criticism--I meant that podcasts are more about people freely talking (OK, and rambling ;)) with each other than about strict scripts and perfectly timed dialogue that you'd get from a "prepackaged" program. Everyone who does SW podcasts does them because they love SW, just like the listeners do. So please accept my apologies if I came across as being too critical! :)

I can't recommend any, as I only listen/watch Collider's Jedi Council. If I do happen to find any I'll leave a post.

no apology necessary. Even with rambling as we so often do on the Resistance Broadcast, editing makes a big difference.

I enjoy listening to The Weekly Planet Podcast. While Star Wars is not the main topic, it regularly makes an appearance as the host, Mr. Sunday Movies, is a big fan of Star Wars. It's great if you're a fan of all things comics, sci-fi, fantasy, and just about everything else. Good humor but they do curse so keep your headphones in if your mom or younglings are around.
