    Hey everybody! For quite some time now I have seen that The Cantina has tons of posts here and there and many times these posts which take up lots of space is just to ask a simple question. Thinking about this made me want to create a thread where instead of creating tons of other posts to ask simple things we can place our questions here for other Cantina members to help answer them. If you want to create a whole new post to debate who shot first between Han and Greedo then sure go on ahead but if you want to ask something simple like what is the day Rogue One comes out or who knows the name of said character, droid or alien then this is the post for you!

    I'd like to hit things off by asking something myself to see if any of you guys or gals may help me. Can somebody tell me if all of the new SW books that have the Disney logo count as canon? I ask because I recently got this book and I wanted to know if all the info inside can now be considered canon.

    It has the Disney logo in the back apart from the one from Lucasfilm so I would like to know if everything inside is legit since Disney approved the book.

    With Disney being the incumbent rights holders, I'd say any official release, be it film, tv, book or any other media content is 'approved' and canonical.

    I've got a question for you too... what's with the black line over Yoda's saber blade??

    The blade is light up. Right on top of it you will see a press button. You press it and the blade lights up real cool. I also got TFA Complete Visual Companion as a gift and it has Kylo Ren on the cover and when you press the button his lightsaber also lights up.

    2. How exactly far, far away is the Star Wars galaxy from our own Milky Way galaxy?

    1-The Star Wars Galaxy.

    2-So far that a United Launch Alliance Delta IV Heavy rocket can't reach but close enough for the Millenium Falcon to get here.

    2-As far as 1977. :)

    Although these are good questions, I think they were always intentionally vague about questions like these. The point is that Star Wars is a timeless fable set at a time and place that is far enough from your own that it doesn't directly connect to you (even though it indirectly connects to everybody).

    If you want to get technical, the saga is approaching 100 years of story and still starts with "a long time ago" - so I guess, take the minimum amount of time you would consider "a long time ago," and add at least 100. :)

    Those weird Greedo clones have been around even before the special editions.

    This is the scene where Garindan starts to follow Luke and Ben. You can see another Greedo clone right after the first. Maybe they come from Kamino? There's another one in Jabba's palace but this one was named Beedo and he's suposed to be a relative of Greedo.

    That would be really cool and it could give the new expanded universe some neat story ideas. Imagine a funky tale where Han really killed a double and not the original Greedo.
