    Here's a different way of building your Star Wars ranking list.
    This "quiz" pits two Star Wars titles against each other at a time for you to pick from, and generates a ranked list based on your prioritization of the films in that contest.

    This lines up. I've always said that I'm an Act 1 guy. Act 3 after that, and Act 2 last...and most likely I'll not enjoy it too much - I'll either be bored or annoyed during the second film of any trilogy, or the second act of any given film.
    The exception is TLJ. While too deep for me to watch regularly, it's phenomenal and beats out the other second acts by a long shot; even topping TPM in my side by side picks, but that's only SLIGHTLY...it's a HARD pick for me to choose between those two because TPM is so light-hearted and fun and that's what I love - FUN & ADVENTURE (if possible, with a side of philosophy).

    Here's my oldest (early teen) daughter's ranking. She mostly picks Star Wars films based on the worlds she likes in them, or sometimes a specific character she likes. :) Stuff at the bottom is what she doesn't like watching almost ever because they make her sad or upset too much (basically, the stories are too negative).

    This is very accurate. Its problably my real list. But TPM, Solo and R1 can switch places sometimes.

    I did a second round- this time I didn't pick which movie I like better but which movie is better made IMO (directing, visual effects etc). The result is quite different:

    That's interesting. I am a little bit surprised that TROS seems to be THAT bad for me.
    But I am afraid it's quite accurate.
    I think, I was amazed watching TFA, because it was the first SW premiere in a theater together with my son after a cool period of time full of anticipation and great vibes here on the Cantina.
    I really enjoyed TLJ, but it was a really hard contrast to TFA.
    I also enjoy the lightheartness in SW movies and the kind of naiv 70s optimism.
    Funny detail:
    All the top ranked movies in my list have Han Solo as major part, especially Harrison Ford seems to be very important for the "typical SW humor" in my personal point of view.
    In all of the top ranked movies I was pleased with a grin on my face, when I walked out of the theatre.

    The whole Exegol scenes are completely not my thing. I always hatet to witness thunderstorms in mountainous areas in real life, therefore the Exegol setting made me feel uncomfortable for nearly half an hour while watching TROS and in my head Canon Ben Solo helps Rey to establish a secret Jedi academy in the outer rim.

    Little correction: TLJ seems to be the only SW saga movie, that worked without Han Solo for me in some way.
    That's sthg. a lot of people don't have in their minds. Make a SW movie after TFA, but be the first one to create a Saga film WITHOUT Harrison Ford. Not an easy task. RJ seems to be a brave man overall..

    Interestingly, it's probably not too far off what I might have picked if pushed (I normally shy away from ranking in order because it's too hard!).

    My top two are definitely where they should be.

    If I was doing it manually I may have put ROTS and TFA somewhat higher, but I'm more suprised by my bottom four. My first thought is that I would have put Solo there. Or maybe TROS, although in fairness there is probably more I found engaging about it than Solo. And I'm sure I like TPM more than AOTC! In fact now I think about it, why isn't AOTC at the bottom! I guess I liked it more than I thought... Can't argue with science!
