As for now, I think Sabine's answer suffices, vague as it is. They prepared for the attack, but it never came. In a galaxy as big and populated as the GFFA, I think that's at least relatively reasonable, especially with a planet like Lothal that no longer holds many significant Imperial interests.


By the way, this is totally unrelated, but I liked Ezra's explanation for not revealing his plan. Unlike Holdo, who arguably was justified (Depending on who you talk to) Ezra was just like "Eh, I wanted to make it a surprise". It was kind of a lame excuse, but it also fit his character pretty well, so I appreciated it.

 

I just came across a complaint on Twitter that said something along the lines of, "Hera and Kanan were involved in a sexual relationship before they expressed their love for each other. That's not a message you should be sending in a kids show."

And well... to that I say... ... who cares.

I don’t know, that seems a little too lackadaisical for Palpatine to me. They don’t come more petty or vindictive than him. He had personal investment in that world and they gave him a black eye in front of the whole galaxy. Hard for me to picture him writing that place off like a bad investment and moving on.

This is the same guy that NEEDED to punish Luke for his “lack of vision”. The same guy that NEEDED to destroy the Rebel fleet with the weapon that symbolized their greatest victory and his greatest defeat. He’s not one to be made a fool of and just let it go.

I mean, not sure what to say about Ezra. Apparently he's in the Unknown Regions, so maybe not even Yoda could sense him.

Or maybe Yoda is the only one with enough sense to know that having jumped to hyperspace in a completely exposed bridge, Ezra's body is probably scattered in microbial segments across the galaxy.

 

Seems as though the Ghost crew were the only ones to have seen the purgil actually go into hyperspace. I seem to remember that it was a 'myth' at first and they weren't sure they could do it until the end of that episode. I might be wrong.

 

Don't worry I have access to sites that let me have access forever, I was surprised too but that's the way Dave wanted it to go down.

There really wasn't time for the Death Star to make its way to Lothal either. Their first test was on Jedha, which was a better target because they had to deal with a more dangerous foe in Saw Gerrera... Lothal seemed to be just keeping to themselves once freedom was won. Then the Death Star had business to attend to on Scariff. After that it was on to Alderaan because Dantooine, like Lothal, was too remote for a proper demonstration. Then Yavin and the rest is history.

Ezra isn't a Jedi. Kanan wasn't a Jedi either at the beginning of this series. He only became a Jedi Knight in Season 2 once he passed a test in the Jedi temple. Ezra was still just a padawan.... a very capable padawan, like Obi-Wan in TPM... but still not a Jedi. So I think what Yoda said is still true.

To be fair, it doesn't sound like Ezra could be easily contacted...hence why he's still missing post Return. Even though Yoda is an all-powerful being he is still 'human' and he makes mistakes. Hell, just look at the prequels for his mistakes. "Into exile I must go. Failed I have."
