Star Wars: Skeleton Crew Series Announced, Jude Law Starring

    Lucasfilm has just announced at Star Wars Celebration that the project we knew by the codename Grammar Rodeo is Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, a new live-action series coming to Disney Plus in 2023.



    Jude Law will star in it, although no details about the characters have been provided. Casting has been underway for a few months now.

    Star Wars: Skeleton Crew was introduced by Marvel Studios and Sony's Spider-Man director Jon Watts, alongside Spider-Man: Homecoming writer Chris Ford. It will follow a group of kids 'who get lost in the galaxy' around the time of The Mandalorian and other post-Return of the Jedi spinoff series.



    As previously reported, the series will have strong Amblin vibes, with executive producer Dave Filoni saying it's 'as much for kids as The Clone Wars'. Indeed, the animated series that marked the beginning of Filoni's Star Wars journey was pretty violent and dark at times, especially as time went on, so we shouldn't expect a kiddy tone from this one either.

    Oh! Sounds interesting! I liked Watts' Spider-Man movies, and I'm a fan of Jude Law, but I'll wait to see an actual trailer before I get too excited though.
