I loved season 1, but add Vincent Price even in a trailer and I will love you more.

Is it bad that I have only seen the first 2 episodes of season 1 and could not get into it?

    Loved it.

Gonna long form this a bit:

Season 2 just absolutely ups every ante and moves the story where it needs to go beyond Hawkins. It's brilliant in every way. That isn't to say it's a perfect season, it's far from it, but good god it's as close as any show has been in a long time.

    • Sean Astin was freaking great. He was so perfect as Bob. Just the perfect counter to Joyce. The chemistry was real. Just so fantastic. His death was superbly done.
    • Paul Reiser needs to play every evil scientist/doctor type ever. His turn was so good. Perfect casting.
    • Dacre Montgomery's character grew on me, and I loved he was such an 80s bad boy archetype. The over the topness of it was great.
    • Max was okay but it felt a little forced to have a kickass young girl like her (X23 effect) not a knock on the actress at all.
    • Millie Bobby Brown is a national treasure. Enough said.
    • David Harbour deserves an emmy.

I am not clicking on that spoiler since I am still on episode 4, because I had to go out, but "holly, sh..." doesn't do it justice.

Now that I am done, I can say I am mostly agreeing with you. I will only swap Billy and Max, absolutely hated almost every moment with him and liked Max a lot. At least, now we know why Billy was an as$hole. Hopefully, they'll integrate him better in season 3. And he better lose that sorry excuse of a mustache. It made me sick just to look at him. :D

But, overall, this season upped everything from season 1, the stakes, the world, already great acting... And can I guess what your favorite episode was? Was it
    episode 8, The Mind Flayer?

Harbour deserves Emmy for the scene with El in the car alone, let alone everything else. All the kids were fantastic, including Noah Schnapp who finally got to show his chops, I love them all. Sean Astin was amazing and broke my heart. I loved that Reiser's doctor turned out to be exactly who he said he was, someone trying to clean up the mess and failing. I wonder if all the numbers would have to unite in the following seasons. If Eight survived, others could too.

Overall, loved, loved, loved the season. I'll write more when more people see the show.

Yep. That is my favorite. It's so good. The last few minutes of episode 9 were so good. Mike and Eleven at the Snow Ball was just something we needed and those poor kids freaking deserved! haha.

Hands up for those who - after binging the entire season - went on to watch Beyond Stranger Things, only for Jim Rash to start with "now for those who just binged the entire 9 hours...." (epic fail)

Also, one of the best new relationships in the show was between
    Steve and Dustin
with former acting as both protector and Obi-Wan.

    Their funniest exchange:

Steve: How do you know it’s not a lizard?

Dustin: Because it’s face opened up and it ate my cat.

Steve being the "big brother" at the end in the tunnels and the Byers house is great. He's like The Hound of Stranger Things. Background character who has one of the best arcs on the show!
