I've been considering this for some time, and I need some feedback......

Look, with all of the SW series on the boards with Disney, why is it that all of these shows seem to run concurrently?? Couldn't they stagger them throughout the year instead of having a feast and then a famine, as seems to actually and historically been SOP??

Personally speaking, I'd be more inclined to keep the fanbase coming back every week, as opposed to run a season of two things basically at once, and then nothing for 6-8 months....run a season of one thing, then take a month break, and start another series....year round.

It seems like they're freely handing out opportunities for fans find a different hobby between seasons of shows, and potentially not come back....or maybe it's just me, idk.

I agree with what your saying because at one time I wondered the same.

I'm not sure what kind of scheduling/production/industry red tape obstacles major projects such as these must face. Especially when there are so many in the works simultaneously. It could be more of a challenge than what we realize. Or.......perhaps it's strategically planned this way, to what avail I have no clue other than to build anticipation and hype rather than dumping it all on us at once for fear of diluting the excitement.

I do know they're all supposed to culminate into one final fiasco. The road leading there however is anything but mapped out for the public.

Disney+ has only been around for two years. The “feast and then a famine” will occur into more original content arrives. I believe the ultimate goal is to have Star Wars ALL the time, which would be amazing. I feel like Marvel has practically reached that goal.
2022 will be a turning point year for Star Wars fans because for the first time ever we’re getting content in every season: Book of Boba fett will fill out early Winter. Then the Spring/Summer will have Bad Batch 2 and (probably) Obi Wan. And the Fall/Winter will (probably) be the arrival of Andor.

I know it’s frustrating to wait, but when I get bored I think back to the three year gap in between Episodes 1, 2, and 3 and the OT movies.

On a business stand point, Disney+ was created to compete with Netflix, so they must create content for the streaming service because Netflix has tons of content. Every week Netflix releases new movies and TV shows, so in order to compete they must do the same. Critics have already stated that Disney+ doesn't have enough content, for the fans it may seem too much content is being released, but compared to Netflix, Disney is miles away. If Disney+ were to fail they would revert back and concentrated on releasing films every couple of years, but for now it's unlikely.
