Super Smash Bros.

I loved Brawl and Melee. Our dorm in college put 600 hours into Brawl play time. I don't want to buy a Wii U though, I will probably wait for a big price drop. I can't justify buying a Wii U solely for this game.

 

I'm following the craziness going down with the release of the 3DS version in Asia. Head over to smashboards.com. They have links to people live streaming the game.

 

Its too bad they got rid of Star Wolf, he was awesome.

I wonder what the tiers are going to look like, I've heard they have a big team of people balancing, so it might not be like Meta Knight, the Ice Climbers, and then everyone else like Brawl was. Little Mac looks great, especially for competitive play where air game is less important (FD all day!), and if you can time the Villager's (slow!) moves right, they could be great.

My sister has it on the 3DS as well, and I'm rather jealous.
Still waiting for the Wii U version to come out. I'm just glad we have a release date finally.

Have you created Sheev as a Custom Mii Fighter?

 

Not yet... I actually have only JUST started playing as my Mii. Some of the customizable options are sweet. I made myself as Kylo as possible... cyborg Metal Gear like suit, laser sword, devil horns.

If you guys have made customs of SW characters, can you share screengrabs or somehow let me import them if that's possible?

Also, HELLO... we need to exchange NNID's to become friends and play, yes?!

I have the 3DS and Wii U versions. (FYI: lifelong gamer, particularly a hardcore Nintendo fanboy here.)

Pick up Black Ops 2 as well... can get it for cheap, and I can whisper sweet nothing in your ear before exploding C4 on your head. (I have a few sweet Star Wars emblems)

For the record, I main Shulk (I put about 175 hours into Xenoblade Chronicles, and to see him in Smash is a dream come true), and my kids are particularly fond of having me choose his nekkid alt costume. They are very mature... like their old man.

 

Shulk and Little Mac main here! Besides Sonic, Link, ZSS Samus, and Mario of course.

 

Don't forget to get your preorder for the Shulk amiibo in! He's a Gamestop exclusive, comes out in early February.

What amiibos do you guys have?

I've only got two so far: a Pikachu and a Little Mac (rare, but my buddy saw him behind the counter at the Nintendo Store here and scored it for me)

Also, I'm an idiot: was at a Toys R Us that had both Villager AND strange looking Samuses with cannons on each arm/odd... I didn't buy them at the time. They have since skyrocketed in value.
