How do you think Kylo Ren will lead the FO as Supreme Leader in Episode 9?

Now that Snoke is gone and he is in charge, there's many ways this could go.
I think now that Kylo has full control of the galaxy's most powerful militant force -- he'll be able to access potential force teachings that Snoke may have kept concealed from him. If this is the case and if we get a time jump like it's hinted we're getting, I expect Kylo to be more strong in the force than ever and that will make him more dangerous.

Obviously his raw power is there but he has lacked the knowledge to unlock his true potential it seems. Partly Kylo's pull to the light is to blame -- but I think now with Kylo being the absolute authority he will not allow the pull to the lightside to take away the galactic dominance he now has. Rey refused to join him when he offered and he blamed her for Snoke's death and now that Kylo has full control of the FO and a galaxy ripe for taking -- he won't allow the lightside or Rey to pull on him so strongly as it's been in the past 2 films.

Kylo will be extremely difficult to beat in Episode 9 I am assuming and I think him being in control of the FO is even worse than Snoke. Kylo is unhinged and reacts eccentrically to threats. We see that in how he demands all walkers to blast at Luke on Crait and how he demands them to fire excessively.

With a full FO under his control, he'll be quicker to react with violence and power than ever before. And the fact he commands the FO fully will make the galaxy a dangerous place.

Do you agree with my assessment and how I think Kylo will lead in Episode 9?

Ren Ben is going to try to push his own definition of "order" on the galaxy, which i think is not going to go down well with the FO.
and then i think the Peaveys and the Canadys of the FO are going to suddenly find Hux the lesser of two evils.

i still think/hope the FO will be destroyed by a civil war between maladapted factions and the Rebellion will be there to put an end to the war and clean up the mess.

what i will be sad to see is Ren destroy Hux; they are more alike than not but neither can see it.

It seems like more and more people on the internet think that Ren will be a good leader and that the galaxy actually likes him, even though he's kinda radical or extreme.
IMO this would be great, because then the Resistance would be even more the underdogs respectively seen as terrorist. While Ren makes a good leader (Hux still doesn't like Ren's methods though and tries to get rid off him), Poe makes a terrible leader and gets disliked for his extreme methods by his own friends.

It's a very strange thing, this longing for "strong, chariamatic leaders", especially in times when things change, uncomfortable times.
I would not like to be ruled by anybody to think and decide instead of me what is wrong and what is right.
Ren could be such a leader for some time... till his folks recognize the illness within the sytem (millions suffering..)
But, thank god, we are in a GFFA.. :D

i don't know that he'll be a "good" leader. but i do think he's always had a slightly different agenda ~ even from Snoke.
i also think that he didn't expect to be in this position, and that might not bode well for him given his headspace.

It would be really good if things went this way, but I think it would be very difficult to execute it in a satisfactory way in just one movie (that is supposed to be the last). I really hope that we get some kind of Episodes IX-1 and IX -2 to have great scenarios like this executed nicely.

If you can't tell a story in one movie, you shouldn't tell it all. That's something I've learned in film school. Furthermore the first part of this movie splitting is only exposition and the second part only action. They should rather make an EPX instead of splitting IX into two parts.

    amen.

i get there's a trend of trilogy-making (and the MCU has certainly turned expectations into movie-series-making), but we shouldn't forget that well-told stories full of rich characters and scenarios and very complex emotional switchbacks, growth, etc., can (and consistently have) happened in the history of film in under two hours.

building a story on the assumption of sequels is just as likely to build in too much bloat (see: The Hobbit), or stretch the plot too thin. it's all a very delicate balance.

Amen. This crap of splitting the final film into a 2 part finale is garbage. Tell the story in one film. If it needs to be a bit longer, then okay. I loved the Lord of the Rings films. The Hobbit films... I enjoyed, but not as much as the former (in a way thats how I felt about the books as well). I think it started with Harry Potter splitting the finale into two, and I personally don't care for it (I also didn't care for Harry Potter, but that's a story for another time). I doubt they would do an Episode IX a and IX b. But who knows? I guess we all will find out in about 19 months.
