The time is finally upon us. The release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens was a monumental event for all Star Wars fans. Being able to see the film in theaters, enveloped in the soft glow of the screen, and surrounded by cheering audiences was a great return to the previously dormant franchise. But, now what many fans have been waiting for is within our grasp.

Now we get our chance to own the movie. Our chance to get the number of viewings from the tens into the hundreds. To dissect every frame, to freeze on every new species and location, to examine every special feature and behind the scenes tidbit. This is where we take The Force Awakens from new, to familiar, to ingrained in our minds for all eternity, and I for one can’t wait.

So, in honor of the occasion, SWNN will be doing what everyone likes best. Giving away free stuff. And we have some real good stuff to give away this time. Just answer a simple question and you’ll have a chance to win one of the following 8 items.

Sphero BB-8 from our friends at Wellbots.com!
3 TFA Blu-rays (Special Target or Disney editions)
2 TFA Soundtrack - Every fan should have a physical copy of John Williams masterful work!
2 The Original Trilogy Graphic Novel - Witness the OT like you have never before with this newly released graphic novel.

To enter the competition please go to SWNN.

Three of the prizes will be given to Cantina members that are active in this thread. We also have some new badges and custom signatures for some of you.

Let's have a memorable party here like we did in the past. The contest will end on April 5, when TFA Blu-ray is released.

So let's start with a simple question: Which of TFA Blu-ray special features are you looking forward the most, and why?

I'm most looking forward to the feature length documentary, because I think it will have the most substance. From all accounts, it sounds very well made.

    yay! contest!

i'm also really looking forward to the documentary.
i really enjoy seeing the behind-the-scenes stuff and it's always fun to see the characters out of context and hear what the actors and other creative teams have to say about the process.

I'm definitely looking forward to the deleted scenes, but the making-of documentary is what I'm most excited about. A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away I studied film and I'm still a big ol' film nerd so that kind of thing is always exciting to see.

i'm looking forward seeing the behind the scenes creation of the practical and visual effects, i've always been fascinated by that part of movie making. it is fun to see new worlds and weird creatures just come to life out of someone's imagination and the hard work the actors, puppeteers and animators put into it.

The deleted scenes! I always love seeing how films are made, and the parts that are left out are surprisingly left out or perfectly removed. And I want to see more Star Wars!

i'm looking forward in the BB-8 featurette. I just love the little guy. I owned a sphero BB-8 for like a week but i had to sell it because i needed the money for my tuition (this was last week...had just bought bb-8 for/on my birthday after spending months of saving money for it) ....now sad without BB-8 but with the Blu-ray I can at least enjoy BB-8 and his story of creation.

I'm looking forward to the documentary, because it should pretty much cover everything... But I do love me those deleted scenes. Part of the fun is trying to figure out the creative decision-making in why they were filmed but then cut...but then put back in as extras for later release!

As becoming movie director I'm definitely looking forward to the documentary. I love watching behind-the-scenes stuff, because I'm fascinated how an idea becomes a finished product.

Really this is not a very easy question Viral BUT i think that EVERYBODY will like to see ALL the magic behind how this movie was made. The effects, the making, the documentary, the deleted scenes, the special features and the best part to enjoy the movie at home with the family. In the theater was GREAT but at home is WONDERFUL.You can watch the movie again and again.I want to enjoy watching EVERYTHING about this GREAT movie.I'm so happy to FEEL that SW is back. This feeling is hard to explain.May the FORCE be with ALL members and friends of The Cantina...:).

I'm really looking forward to the featurette on the table read, and the deleted scenes (Maz using the force on digital mostly). That table read photo was all we had to go on for months, so it would be awesome to get a deeper look at that moment. It was also the moment that told me (at least) that this was going to be a halfway decent film. Something about it...

That said, we don't get our copies until halfway through April here 'down under'...

I am looking forward to the BTS documentary the most. I am so hype for it!

Then of course the table read and deleted scenes! Seeing the actors/actresses in the early stages of production, reading the script with one another will be surreal. I'm also excited about the deleted scenes from what we've been fed so far, especially the Kylo/Falcon scene.

I'm looking forward to it ALL. The features I want to see the most are BTS and the Table Read. Looks like we all get to be a fly on the wall for that. I remember the day the cast was announced along with the release of the photo and I was thinking, I wonder what that would be like to be in that room at that time. For us fans it was Historic. Now we can get a little glimpse of what went on in that room and of how everyone felt that day.
So I think the table read is what I'm looking forward to the most. Just wish all the features were longer.

I'm looking forward to the music feature. John Williams scores are some of the greatest music ever composed, and I think that it will be very interesting to know how Williams composed certain pieces. (Specifically Rey's Theme:)

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it's been confirmed there's no commentary.. :(

To the original question, (whilst parroting everyone else lol) I'm looking forward to the behind the scenes documentary. Been following the film ever since it was announced (like ALL of us have). But being able to see the journey it takes behind the scenes will be fantastic.

This doesn't surprise me considering how quickly this came to Blue-Rey. I think TFA is still in some theaters.
