I'm sulking.

Have to wait another 10 days for the release here, and I'm very jelous of those who already have it. Actually, I have to wait longer, as the day before it comes out I'm heading off to a remote area for 7 days where I won't be able to get a copy.

Patience is not a virtue I have in abundance.

 

You know, the more I think about this, the happier I feel. This is something that only Star Wars can do to me, and possibly most of you as well. I simply cannot think of another franchise (or piece of pop culture) which has a fanbase like ours: folks who would do (almost) anything to see the behind the scenes process of these films. Thinking about John Williams, ILM, the practical creatures and sets, JJ's vision and input, Kathleen Kennedy's drive, Arndt and Kasdan's script (and its table read with the entire cast!), the Art Department (always an amazing thing to behold. How the design of characters, creatures, ships, planets, etc., were first conceived and then evolved into the final cut; we got to see lots of that luckily in the incredible book "Art of TFA"), the Sound Design, and so on. I could go for days with this.

And the best thing about this is that, at the same time that we are getting this spectacular film and bonus features for the home release, one SW standalone movie is done and about to start its (hopefully big) marketing campaign anytime soon, and another is in principal photography...I mean, HOW COOL IS THAT!

I know we are ALL appreciating these exciting times and not taking any of it for granted. Not for a single moment.

Say it loud and say it proud: it's so good to be a Star Wars fan these days!

I commented on the disqus board on SWNN already but still, the deleted scenes on top of the movie itself, couldn't ask for more as an entire package for a SW fan. And from what I've read about, seems the Target release Bluray version has the best chunk of those deleted scenes to offer. So that leaves me with two options, either purchasing multiple versions of the film to get all the different content... Ooooorrr... wait until some "ultimate" release that will inevitably happen in the future.

Either way, my pocket book just got lighter hahahaaa

 

I'm really excited for the documentary. I think it'll give me a new perspective on TFA. I feel that I'll appreciate it more.

Looking at the extras included On Demand through Xfinity, it shows the Deleted Scenes to be 4 min 39 sec. Waaay too short.

 

Haha, I'm a human and a SW fan before I worry about being a her, lol. All good.

And yeah, such a fun time to be a SW fan, how great is it!!!

And it's true, I have a week away where I'll be flat out like a lizard drinking, then I can come home and justify hibernating with TFA

Not sure about any of you guys but at my city at a local store they had a midnight release party and there was free stuff as well, It was pretty amazing.

 

brings back memories of the TPM VHS release at the local Musicland. I waited in line at midnight.....

 

So what are we watching today?

 

Just picked up my Target copy at lunch. Now going through first viewing run here at work, 2nd run probably this afternoon with my kids, and then 3rd run later tonight after they all go to bed... tomorrow doesn't look very productive either! Hahahaa
