The end of Solo: A Star Wars Story had an open ending for several of the film's characters. From Qi'ra heading off to Dathomir to join her new boss Maul, to Enfys Nest's Cloud Rider gang and the grass roots of the rebellion, and of course Han and Chewbacca journeying to see what this Jabba the Hutt is all about. The problem is, Solo stumbled at the box office, and while Disney CEO Bob Iger recently took the hit for its performance, fans and we at SWNN are left wondering, what is the future of these incomplete story-lines? That brings us to this week's poll! If you could choose, how would you want the future of Solo to be handled?

    What do you think?

    [socialpoll]

If the poll above is not loading for you, or you are on a mobile device, you can vote HERE.

As you can see by the choices, if they were to continue the story left open by the end of Solo, they have several options to do it! The question remains, will Disney/Lucasfilm #MakeSolo2Happen? And what will they end up doing?

They have created the hashtag in hopes fans unite around it and Disney hears our cries. In addition to this they have made this design which you can get on a T-shirt, sticker, mug, hoodie, and several other items. I was looking forward to a Solo film from day one. I have Solo on Digital and have watched it several times now. I'll be picking up the novelization as well. I didn't believe this statement: no one wanted a Han Solo film without Harrison Ford. But the box office numbers say that statement is true. I for one, know that Ford would not want to be in a Solo film because he doesn't like Star Wars.

Lucas asked Ford several years ago before Disney purchased LFL, if he would want to be in a standalone Han Solo film and Ford commented that Lucas was out of his mind. I never forgot reading that so many years ago, it practically broke my heart cause it would have been so cool to see Han and Chewie on a SOLO adventure ;).

Ford wants to put Star Wars behind him, so I believe thats why Disney found someone new to play Solo. Ford only agreed to come back for TFA because he would get his wish, to die in a Star Wars film which he wanted way back when he was shooting ESB.

I think if Ford agreed to play Solo in a standalone film, use a de-aging process for the first half of the film to show how he got the Falcon, maybe a flash back sequence, and fast forward to a couple of years before TFA for the second half of the film.

I don't believe a Solo 2 film is in the cards, simply because no one wanted a Solo film without Ford. The dismal box office and Iger's recent statements make Solo 2 a far fetched idea.

I'll support an idea of a Solo 2 film and buy a couple of t-shirts for the cause...

You are boiling down the reason for SOLO's box office issues too far. I think if you asked 100 people who didn't see SOLO, the reason for not seeing it, about 60-70 would say "I'm not interested in that".....with maybe 10-20 saying "Ford is the only Solo"

But of course this is just my opinion....

I can't vote on the poll as the link doesn't work for me, but I would personally love to see a Solo 2 movie. I wasn't a fan of Solo, but I think there is a lot of potential there story wise. I think that although Solo felt a bit heartless and superfluous, there is a good story there somewhere... Kasdan and son just need to find it...

That's me...on BOTH accounts...HOWEVER since I picked up the BR on Tuesday I've watched it TWICE and plan on seeing it twice more before the end of the weekend...and I love it. My mind has been changed. :)

Solo 2....yes, absolutely! So many directions that could be explored based on the fact that the door at the ending was left cracked open...figuratively speaking. :)

De-aging process isn't going to help with his phyiscal limitations. That wouldn't work.

Isn't that the problem? People don't know how to separate characters from actors. Harrison Ford and Han Solo isn't one in the same. Solo set up a nice possible sequel and works perfectly to see Boba Fett on screen as well more Maul. Had people gave Alden a chnace instead of writing him off since day 1, Solo would of done really good. He nail Han Solo, not Harrison Ford.

i used to be looking forward to a Solo movie from day one. i have Solo on digital and feature watched it numerous instances now. i will be choosing up the novelization as properly. I failed to accept as true with this declaration: nobody desired a Han Solo film without Harrison Ford. however the field workplace numbers say that assertion is real. I for one, recognise that Ford might not want to be in a Solo film due to the fact he does not like superstar Wars.
Lucas requested Ford several years ago before Disney purchased LFL, if he would want to be in a standalone Han Solo film and Ford commented that Lucas was out of his mind. I by no means forgot studying that such a lot of years ago, it practically broke my coronary heart purpose it would were so cool to peer Han and Chewie on a SOLO journey ;).
Ford desires to placed star Wars at the back of him, so I believe thats why Disney determined someone new to play Solo. Ford only agreed to return lower back for TFA due to the fact he would get his desire, to die in a star Wars film which he wanted manner back when he became capturing ESB

I would certainly watch Solo 2 if they made it - but maybe a better question to ask would be, "Do you wish Disney had a more cohesive overall plan?"

If they had known Clone Wars would get canceled, they wouldn't have left Maul's fate up in the air in the first place - and if they had known Maul was returning to the big screen, they probably wouldn't have had his re-death be in Rebels. If they had known that Clone Wars is coming back, they might have waited and put Maul's death back where it was originally planned to be. If they had known that Solo would be considered a box office disappointment, maybe they wouldn't have left it as a cliffhanger. And that's without even getting into the ST.
