I would need to learn more about the script first before I can come to such a determination. To make a decision on whether it would be good solely on the directorship is to me erroneous as even directors that are considered good are capable of making mistakes.

I just caught a story on BBC News about Waititi doing a lockdown streaming thing (reading Roald Dahl stories for kids), and he mentioned that besides live-streaming, he's spending the lockdown writing Star Wars and Thor stuff. He was very funny in the interview, ('cause, of course he was!), and complained that he'd become a franchise movie maker now *pout* "I had one good idea with Jojo, and now I'll never have another original project!" <--not verbatim.

<3 Taika Waititi is a friggin' treasure! <3

There were no details about his SW film, other than that they (him and Krysty Wilson-Cairns) are currently writing it. I'm certain that the butt-hurt, incel, racist crowd is going to find something to hate about the Waititi SW ('cause, of course they are), but I for one cannot wait to see what he and KW-C comes up with! Waititi should be absolutely perfect for campy some more Star Wars!

I've only seen What We Do in the Shadows, Thor: Ragnarok, & Jojo Rabbit, to be honest (+the WWDitS TV show & The Mandalorian, obviously), but they are all pretty fantastic and and funny. Jojo also, in addition to being hilarious, was also poignant, warm, and topical, and just an outstandig film in all respects, I feel.

I didn't know that he directed one episode of Mandalorian.

I read the synopsis of Jojo Rabit and it seems interesting. Will try to check it someday.
    Thanks.
