    Hello patrons of the The Book of Mando Fett. (boba fett)(yoda 2)
    This has been bugging me like a splinter in my minds eye.

    As we all know by now, Grogu has a pretty massive choice to make.

    Either continue to train under Luke and become the proud new owner the lightsaber belonging to Yoda, one of the most powerful jedi masters ever and of his same species.

    Or.

    Wear the chainmail beskar armor and forsake his seemingly preordained life as a padawan learner, to then fly around the galaxy riding in his own cool little co-pilot bubble behind Din in the Naboo fighter.

    100 credits says Grogu chooses the armor, forsaking the life of a jedi in poetic symmetry to that of Din Jarrin, who's beginning to put his friendship with Grogu before the Mandalorian code.

    Don't look at me, Wuher. I thought Rey was Luke's kid. Leaning towards him taking the armor and ending up with the dark saber. That'll make a profitable action figure when he's an older character. Maz probably ends up with Yoda's saber in her basement. But, that's a question for another time.

    Grogu will teach his master that balance does not require abandoning attachments. That was Yoda Jedi failure. It was attachment that defeated Palpatine (both times) and attachment that turned Kylo back to the light.

    Well said, @Xeven ! The strange thing about dissing the power of attachments is that Luke, of all people, should know it.

    My guess is that Luke’s adherence to the Old Way is the first step in how Favreau and Filoni will begin explaining Luke’s trajectory to the old hermit in TLJ.

    I'm convinced the "choice" will not occur before... perhaps end of Mando season 3. Possibly even not there, because, as I suspect, Grogu tossing away the saber would better be related to what happened to Luke's Jedi Academy and Kylo. I'm convinced Grogu has a main, even major role, in this part of the story. However, his absence near Lukes in TROS hints that he left the saber and the Jedi robe, somewhere in time (that's what I think).

    ...it's not part of the bet, but him force grabbing the saber at the last second (like LP suggested) would be funny - especially if we then get Din with the Darksaber and Grogu with Yoda's old blade fighting side-by-side in Mando S3

    sorry folks, that’s not how the Force works… the OP sets the credit limit in the opening post - in this case 100 credits - so you can only wager that amount.
