Teaser trailer or full trailer, when and where?

don't get me wrong.. i agree with you 100%. i'm just preparing not to see anything for awhile so i'm not disappointed anytime soon

 

I agree that Civil War is a pretty safe bet. It'll be about 7 months before the official release, which is a common time to put out the first teaser trailer. TFA will have been long out of theatres by then (and probably out of home video as well). It's Marvel's first big release of the year and LOTS of people are going to go see it, etc.

It just makes sense.

 

1. At least one reference to the TV Shows (Rebels or Clone Wars) , being a character, location or weapon. Perhaps the Ghost flying alongside other X-wings, but we cannot see who is piloting the Ghost.
2. At least one reference to The Force Awakens. Perhaps a minor alien character that we saw in Jakku, a hint that we may see Lor San Tekka.
3. At least one lightsaber to stop those rumours that the movie will be lightsaber-free.
4. Vader's breathing.
5. Force lightening, but we can't see where is coming from.

 

Since this is a teaser trailer scenario, I would love to tease the hell out of the audience. I would start with a point of view camera on an imperial recording droid. The little droid would be running around the corridors of either a star destroyer or perhaps the death star itself. the droid would be weaving in between the boots of the imperial personnel . We could get introduced to a big dose of nostalgia with old school storm troopers and some side burned officers pretty quickly that way. I would then have the droid enter a hanger bay stacked with OT Tie fighters. Then to wrap it up, and have the jump scare, I would have the rebel cast slammed to their knees in front of the camera, with Vader's Saber by one of their necks. ***fade to black and hear the saber "in motion".

 

I would be looking forward to this teaser if you were in charge of it.

 

Then on 29/04/16 I expect a teaser.

 

It's about a prelude to Episode IV and features (however briefly) one of the greatest villains in Hollywood history, but it's not correct to suggest seeing him in the trailer would be exciting?

Wow, just wow, the level of dismissive, pedantic commentary on this forum sometimes...you couldn't even construct a full sentence with your rebuttal.

No wonder I stopped coming here, everything I say gets dismissed, even the simple act of saying, "I'd like to see Darth Vader in the trailer" gets punched in the face.

Sad.

 

I think he just means that your original suggestion for a teaser was focused solely on Vader, while we know he's gonna play a role they also have these new characters to show us. So a Vader breathing tease and single shot would be enough. (Even though IMO they ARE gonna market the hell out of Vader for this)

Also look at Biff's former posts he's obviously very open to Vader in the teaser/trailer.

 

I actually want the teaser/trailer to somewhat imply that this movie is not going to cut away every 5 minutes to vader getting updates on the chase just because "OMG GUYZ DARTH VADER IS IN THE MOVIE". The teaser and the trailers have to convey that vader is being used correctly, that he goes into battle at the right times, he appears during the chase for the rebels at the right time.

Over-use of vader could completely ruin this movie.

 

Bothans being slaughtered....horrifically....

 

Like to see what the characters are like, maybe lil bit of battles. Would love a quick tease for Darth Vader, maybe his breathing at the end..

 

Civil War or Star Wars Day. Getting excited for Rogue One, even though I know very little about it (which is my preference).

wouldn't that seriously fragment the audience? Unless you mean it's released first online soon (expected TFA blu ray is April) and will also added to the blu-ray?

 

either way. putting a teaser before TFA comes out then attached the full trailer on the blu ray would be dope. then wait a few days to view the full trailer. its going to go viral anyway you put it so why not suprise fans with a full trailer whoever buys the blu ray.
