I have to say I agree. The seemingly last minute removals of certain scenes (Maz/Leia, Leia/Korr Sella, Poe/Rey) do rob the film of... I don't know, connective tissue?

It was particularly jarring with Maz, who was introduced with much ceremony, but given no background and no send-off. She just appears as a wise, magical guru who knows everything, reveals basically nothing, and then ****s off. And then of course comes Poe, who's third act reappearance was so obviously plucked from thin air that in the finished movie he doesn't even meet the main character. They filmed a quick 'meeting' scene that ultimately proved so awkward they cut it.

I love TFA, but there is something incomplete about it.
