*That* Solo Cameo

OH it wasn't Darth Maul.........something much bigger. They're just trolling everyone.

 

IF this was true for whatever reason, it might be a good way to tie into Kenobi, being that Ewan McGregor was also there last night. (That’s assuming Maul is supposed to be the villain in Kenobi, but that might require quite a bit of explaining and/or retconning considering what happens during their meeting in Rebels.)

 

He died in Rebels, just fyi. So that wouldn't make sense.

 

Rebels takes place after Solo. I'm not saying he's in it (I have no idea about it,) but there's a chance.

 

He dies 2 years before Episode 4, the Solo movie is 10 years before Episode 4, according to the leakers Maul has a cameo in hologram as a criminal boss, he's played by Ray Park and voiced by Sam Witwer.

In The Clone Wars Maul is involved with criminal groups, so the cameo is possible.

 

Quality stuff..

He survived ep .I., its canon, and controlled undergorund organisations, a collective.

So this is interesting new addition to Canon .He has put a track on Solo, and Solo is gona ,after the film ,operate from Tatooine. Solo gets permanent job by Jabba the Hutt after the film.

So Maul also eventualy came to Tatooine some time after this film chasing Han Solo or just for bussines with Jabba,.... and noticed something else, ... desturbance in the Force on Tatooine, there Obi-Wan killed him finally to protect Luke.

I am glad because it seems people who make this standalone movies think about coherence.

 

If this is true the general audience will be confused because a lot of people think he died in Episode 1 and doesn't know that George Lucas resurrected Maul with robotic legs in The Clone Wars.

 

Maul is a crime Lord in Solo and whom Qi'ra is actually working for. Played by Ray Park and voiced by Sam Wittwer.

 

General audience is, honestly, really ingorant. Maul's survival is fact and canon for years with every detail of it vastly elaborated.

btw... Maul in Solo film is practically confirmed, and I feel secure to predict he will have prominent role in Kenobi stadalone film. So this is setting of the stage.

 

He was pretty headstrong on finding Obi-Wan though. I mean, that's quite the transition in a short amount of time. It would be pretty laughable though if we only see him as a hologram. I mean, getting even less screen time then TPM? Just to have the fans go, "hey! I know that guy!"

 

Wasn't Maul on Malachor for the majority of the time after Ep. 3? Also as others have noted, we already saw his death on Rebels and it wasn't enough to make a full movie out of. I'm calling BS for the time being.

Its safe to say this is preparation for much more prominent role of Maul in Kenobi standalone movie.

Maul sells the stuff.

 

There is no role for Maul in an Obi Wan movie. Rebels showed us the first time they see each other since The Clone Wars and they fight right then and there. There is nothing else. Unless the Obi Wan movie isn't during the exile and is instead something about Maul as Mandaolre's ruler. The other option is an Obi Wan movie about him taking the force ghost trials and instead of facing a shadow version of himself like Yoda did he faces "ghosts" of his past and Maul is one of them. I genuinely don't see how Maul will factor into an Obi Wan movie.

 

Obi Wan standalone will be most likely about Obi-Wan's self-exile while he protected Luke on Tatooine.
What you pointed out will be of course logic to expect.
But there was also Maul's vendetta.
Maul found Kenobi on Tatooine. Than he sensed that Kenobi is there for greater purpose,to protect Chosen one.
Kenobi , who in the meantime became immensly powerfull, killed Maul, it is consensus it happened around 2 years before the New Hope in the desert of Tatooine.
So all you said will be in the film, plus, I think, final duel with Maul.

 

I really don't think its enough for an entire film. It might be better if they did something like the Twilight Zone movie. Three separate 40-50 minute stories. One could be Clone Wars, another one early in the exile and then the final one being a live action version of the Rebels scene with added story to it. If they can do it and it works I'll be happy but I really don't see it.
