    Troughout the entire trilogy so far we can observe one element of the story , the tuning factor that the authors care about the most.
    It is the most important rule of the films that we can follow in main scenario decisions.
    BALANCE of the Force is main motif of the trilogy .

    Luke tells to Rey that affter the battle of Endor there was a balance for many years.
    Only 2 powerfull ( active ) Force sensitive beings left alive were Luke, and Snoke.
    Then came Ben Solo, and his drift to the Dark side. That shifted the balance and as Snoke said himself, there was response.
    A birth of powerfull person on a Light side. Rey.
    In the meantime the perfect Idea of balance was obeyed true killing of Luke's Jedi.Half of them was killed, and the rest, known as Knights of Ren, are also by my belief and strenghtened by the logic of balance- dead ( I have explained this in my other thread).
    We were suprised how Snoke died so early, and Luke died in same film.
    Actually, authors are again here perfectly following the idea of Balance.
    Snoke has died, and Luke also, thus the balance is maintained.
    The Balance now stays in 2 persons, Rey, and Kylo. One against the other.

    This is important point, because we can maybe predict outcomes of resolution between Rey and Kylo in episode IX.
    The outcome will be balance.

    Possibilities:

    1.Kylo Ren turns to Light..that is not possible as it shifts the balance to Light Side.

    2. Kylo Ren dies and Rey stays Light, again not balance.

    3. ReyLo....it.. works. But Kylo must stay Kylo for it to work, not lovig Ben.So Rey must learn to love Kylo as he is.

    4. Kylo and Rey stay enemies forever at the end of episode IX.

    5.Kylo Dies and Rey closes herself from the Force just like her.teacher.Luke.

    I've read several of your posts and like your ideas, but I have my doubts that LFL, Disney and the ST are really headed in the direction you're suggesting. That said, if they were it would probably improve the ST.

    So playing along, I thought of a few other scenarios.

    6. Both become grey Jedi's, so as to keep balance.

    7. Both Kylo and Rey die.

    8. Either one dies, the other goes grey.

    9. One of them devises a way to capture and imprison the other, therefor keeping balance (both still exist) while the jailor can do whatever they want (get a force weapon could imprison a force user could be a plot device for EPIX).

    I'd also add the trilogy doesn't have to end with a balance. Imagine the trilogy ending with Kylo victorious and Rey imprisoned? I think they want to wrap up the Skywalkers, so I doubt this happens, but seeing the "bad guys" win would be different.

    Kylo becomes "good" again, but Rey realizes this is too much light to maintaine balance, so she needs to kill him even though he's redeemed. @RockyRoadHux, maybe this is how it works.

    Maybe Rey is a mixture of light and dark and Kylo would be too much light or darkness. Something like that.

    I once said that balance could be achieved by destroying the force. But people didn't seem to like this idea...

    This isn't generally the interpretation of balance, though.

    The Dark Side isn't a counterweight to "too much light". It, in itself, is the imbalance.

    If anything, I see it this way- the series itself is called Star Wars. Wars.

    I think (and this is where my own crackpot theory comes in), regardless of the Jedi or Sith's presence, the dark side will endure as long as the galaxy is engulfed in war. That is where imbalance comes from, and it's why there was relative peace and balance for a while, only to be overthrown with the relative simultaneous fall of Kylo Ren and emergence of the First Order as a military threat

    Indeed. The other are places I like, but couldn't live in... Siberia is only really an option if I diss Putin enough to get chucked into a gulag ;)

    the force has been very naughty it needs to be sent back to bed again. There is no good or evil anymore just naughty people who need to have a spank and sent to bed because they know in the morning they can be on there best behaviour and get a tasty chocolate cake for being good.

    If Ben became Light sided together with Rey, by insofar logic of Story Group about balance , this must soon result in creation of most powerfull Dark side monstrositry ever accounted as a counterbalance .
