Some people have pointed out that their legs form a heart :)

What I've noticed is that Rey's left leg looks weird, longer, red and kind of like blending with the landscape...

    yeah me neither.
the legs are just positioned to touch points, which is part of the mirroring effect, but nothing seems out of the ordinary there.
    it's a gorgeous picture!

though i have to concede there really are hearts in his eyes in this scene. XD

Don't "The Art Of..." books normally have spoilers, etc?

They have spoilers. All the "art" books. That's why the book will be released december 20th, after the movie premiere.

its probably a dagobah dark type force reflection and Rey seeing her darkside reflection. Hence why you can see her stabbing a pond and creating ripples. Kylo will probably turn into her just like Luke turned into Vader.

I don't see the heart at all, but the crossed lightsabers do look a bit like the symbol for the Jedi Order.[IMG]

Or the symbol of the Old Republic. From my point of view.

Like @YetAnotherSuperweapon pointed out, I thought that it looks more like the lightsaber from the symbol of the Jedi Order, possibly reinforcing Luke’s statement that he “will not be the last Jedi.” Their legs do look like they’re forming a heart, but it’s hard to tell with their lightsabers in the way.

I believe that Art of The Force Awakens is the only one that didn’t have spoilers in it, as the more “spoiler-y” scenes, like Han’s death, ended up in the prologue for Art of The Last Jedi. I believe that every other book showed pretty much everything from their respective movies.

Beat me to it bro. ;)

I also can’t help but wonder if there’s a deeper meaning to why Rey is upright and why Kylo is upside down. Maybe it could be representative that Rey is spiritually and emotionally upright while Kylo is the opposite? Maybe it’s symbolic of how Rey turned Ben Solo’s world upside down? How do the colors play into this? Maybe it just looks cool? Who knows! What I do know is that this will look sweet on the shelf next to my TLJ and Solo art books!

The painting from the Art of TROS its probably my favorite if we compare all the covers. TLJ is my second one.

It's at the bend of their knees, as the sabers clash it makes it look like a "heart". Though I'm not sure where @FN-3263827 sees the symbol of the Empire?

I see why someone might make out a heart, but I just don't see it. It looks like an oval to me.

I love the decision to put Rey in front of a red background and Kylo in front of a blue. I'm wondering if it might symbolize Rey and Kylo invading each other's respective worlds. The way each the lightsabers poke into the opposite background might support this theory. Also, the way they are mirrored to create the Jedi symbol makes me think (and hope) that Rey and Kylo will rebuild a more balanced Jedi Order together.

It is very possible that I am overthinking this and it might just be
confirmation of the force battle that Rey and Kylo are rumored to have across multiple locations. Which would be cool as well.

Speculating over incredibly tiny details is so much fun! :D

The reflection of each other kind of reminds me of Luke’s vision of his own face in Vader’s helmet in ESB. The image may allude to the internal battle each character may face when lured by the other side of the force.
It doesn’t escape me either that Rey holds the lightsaber for attack (with 2 hands) whereas Kylo appears to be holding it for defence (with 1 hand)
