So a friend and I are doing a reading (in some case a re-read) of all of the EU books. We started in May. So far we've done the Thrawn Trilogy, the Plageuis book and we just started in on the Darth Bane trilogy.

HOLY sweet baby Sith Lords but that first book was... wow. I loved it. I actually read it in a day (Saturday) and I can't remember the last time that happened. I really couldn't put that book down.

Anyone else out there enjoy that one as much as I did?

Absolutely loved it. Hope they give Bane a movie as he is canon.

I absolutely love the Bane trilogy, he & Zannah are two of my favourite characters in all of Star Wars. I really want a D+ series about his story, either live action or animation, but I think it'd be better suited to the latter - either way It's a story and character that more than deserves It's own series.

I totally agree. I would love to see this on the big screen, but perhaps it deserves the in-depth exploration that only a series can provide. 3D animation might be the way to go. God that would be awesome!

I finished the trilogy this weekend and damn. I don't even know where to begin. This was one hell of a trilogy. I'd love to see it on film if done right and by the right people. Just wow. Wow wow wow. Did I say wow?

I read the Bane Trilogy books as they were released years ago and highly enjoyed them. I thought they did a good job of capturing the Star Wars feel and opening up that era. There's a ton of material in them that could be used in a movie or TV show.

I only recently delved into Legends, and the Darth Bane trilogy books were one of the first I read and they were sooo good. That ending was amazing and I loved Darth Bane's character a lot from what I remember. (I'll definitely have to re-read the trilogy.)

Definitely some of my favorite Star Wars books ever. Actually, taken as a whole, this is the pinnacle, in my opinion, of Star Wars literature. God they should bring Drew K back to write more stuff. I'd love to see him do a trilogy on Darth Nihilis and the Sith of the Old Republic Era.

Who do we think would be a good casting choice for live-action Bane/Dessel?

The first Darth Bane book was fantastic! I remember reading it for my younger brothers and they were completely enthralled by the story. Bane's character arc is extremely well done from beginning to end. I also listened to an audiobook version with my Dad and he loved it!

Definitely a TV show over a movie.
