Because Jason said it first. Where he got it is anyone's guess.

Also haven't seen all of the visual dictionary or other source either. So I'm sure they have.

Ghost Ben Solo, ghost Anakin, ghost Luke, and ghost Leia, all chilling with Rey as they watch the binary sunset for the final shot.
Hell, JJ may even throw in ghost Han for good measure.

I'm betting that's the only major thing missing from JP's basic plot.
The rest will be relatively minor stuff, attributable to the fact it has only ever been a basic plot summary.

Since there were several endings shot then no one knows the ending. Cause no one has seen the movie except the cast and a dying man.

We didn't need to know it at the time of the first book, but we defiantly needed as part of the series. Which JK Rowling did, she set stuff up and then provided answers as the series went along.

If Palpatine was returning in episode 7 and they didn't give the explanation in that film and saved it till later in the series then you may have a point. But this is the end of the Saga, there is no later episode.

Not only did we get answers to how Voldemort survived its also a different scenario. As a viewer we didn't see Voldemort die or and lose his power as the story starts after that point. We did see Palpatine die, he died on film. Even arguably as part of prophecy. Just going ow he's back with no explanation would come across as incredibly lazy!

At this point is there any reason to believe the JP leaks aren't authentic? Soundtrack titles, captures from the Visual Dictionary, names, not to mention trailers and the leaked scene of Ren arriving on Exogol.
My only question - the ending? How much was deliberately leaked only to be changed either in post production or with secretly shot alt scenes? Probably less than we hope, if I'm honest.

I think you need to work on conversational answers. This one word answer thing comes of as lazy as well. Seems purposely inflammatory. As for if we need to know how he is back. You know my stance on it. As another parallel, we also see Luke die on film in TLJ, if he was suddenly back alive I would hope for some exposition, even visually. To not provide an explanation for a central characters return is I believe unprecedented within a work of fiction. Voldemort is different because he was introduced as ‘returning’. Same as Snoke actually. Palpatine is more important to the story, he is in as many movies as anakin skywalker and more than Luke skywalker if you count TROS. Its like never explaining how Gandalf returned.

I've already explained why I disagree; there's no need to belabor the point.

We will more than likely know by tomorrow whether or not an explanation was offered within the context of the film.

No. I think the more we see of the TV spots and leaks from official sources like the VD, I think it is obvious that MSW and JP are largely correct. Especially big picture/story beats stuff. There is likely going to differences with the fine details. The ending is a wild card because Daisy herself stated it was changed during production. It is also unknown if the ending was tweaked at all during reshoots as well.

Right. I mean, the ending is probably the ending everyone has described. The question that has no answer yet is which characters will be present.

I'm also curious about Luke's old T65 X-Wing. There are pictures of it on set. Although now that we've seen T65s in The Mandalorian, I'm wondering if that's not where the ship will end up. I mean, it's not like the full-sized prop was saw was confirmed to be Red/Rogue 5. Just an old X-Wing. And they were shooting simultaneously.

This has long been debunked. They didn't shoot different endings. They were testing different edits of the ending, but the ending itself hasn't changed.

This film will come down 100% to execution. If you read a leaked version of plot explanation of any of these films they would sound terrible to the normal internet angry mob. People were losing their minds about the Endgame leaks before the film was released.

I believe that the rumor is that the XWing is how Rey gets off Ach-to. I believe that comes from MSW

Seems to me like the Resistance base on Ajan Kloss was previously abandoned, along with Rebellion-era tech and craft.

Regarding the explanation for Palpatine's return, he'll give it in a bit of dialogue to Kylo Ren. Kylo will challenge Palpatine and Sheev's too arrogant not to throw it in his face so that KR is properly cowed.

Unless Rey can raise Luke's X-Wing from the bottom of the ocean and somehow repair it with very few tools, there's no way she uses it in this movie.

It could just be waiting there ready for her to use on Ahch-To. It's irrelevant to it's purpose in TROS how it was repaired... so it wouldn't need explaining...

Luke's X Wing still worked on Dagobah.

No, the prophecy was fulfilled. Anakin still destroyed the Sith and brought balance to the force.
Resurrecting him is just a way around this. It hinges on a technicality.
Yeah, if a ship is designed to work in the vacuum of space, it's not much of a stretch for it to work underwater too. It's designed to withstand pressure and be airtight.
