Except Anakin/Darth Vader is the main character of Star Wars. He is the definitive Star Wars character. He also has the most screen time in the Saga and series (minutes, %).

Pointing out the obvious doesn't make me a follower of someone. It just means I read the context of the leak.

The context of these leaks couldn't be any clearer. If you don't believe these leaks fine.

Is it possible Lucasfilm has duped all the leakers? Anything is possible. If that's your position then maybe you should just ignore this thread since nothing you read about the film is true until it comes out. However, if you want to participate in this discussion at least keep leaks in the context of the leaker.

But, no I don't believe much of it. Are some things true? Probably.

 

After the third and final act leak I don't believe much of it either. There is so much missing from the stuff we already know. Furthermore they would never handle Kylo Ren's character that bad. All the set up in prior movies for this? Nah...

At least I hope so.

 

After Snoke, Phasma, Luke... I wouldn't doubt it.

Plus I wouldn't get any hopes up for the Knights of Ren. I doubt any of them are named, let alone have speaking roles. More of less the Praetorian Guards of this movie.

Also- what about the zero-G lightsabre duel?

The little new character Babu Frik is a droid maker it was revealed on the Triple Force Friday livestream. Could be a contradiction here if D-0 is a Babu Frik creation.

No one knows that much outside Lucasfilm. Even that first leak from TFA was way off, at least the details. MSW, who is way more reliable only knows snipits, not basic plot points from acts 1-3.

 

It's fun to read while we wait for the actual film...

 

I know what you mean, but Obi Wan has been so important to the foundations of the rebels and Rey's journey too.. i'd love a holocron message from him at the very least.

50/50 Ewan/Alec appearance would be perfect, to officially glue the two actors' portrayals together.

To be fair when BB8 was announced there was confusion to who owned him, whether it was a he or a she, what he was withholding. We didn't know he had the map to Luke, it was even thought it was Rey's necklace and BB8 was sent to find her. Contradiction of droid information is not enough evidence for me to claim JP is a fake.

 

Jedi Paxis suggests D-O is the droid of a Sith accolyte that killed Reys parents and is found in that ship. The marketing alleges he will be introduced during the 3PO mind wiping at the droid factory. Babu Frik = droidsmith.

I agree that JP could JUST be wrong around the location of the introduction, however I'm also suggesting that official marketing condratictions should also raise our questioning and suspicion of the leak.

If a source stated to JP that they saw a scene on the sith accolyte ship with D-O, and that is not correct, does Ochies ship exist in the sand tunnel? Does that scene exist at all?

Furthermore, we now supposedly have luke raising his X-Wing on Ach-To and rey flies off. The X-Wing is scuttled and Luke used parts for his habitat. Again, what else should we now question?

 

I know this. And for TFA it took JW about three years to get anything even remotely on point. For the most part everything was wrong until a beat sheet came along.

All I'm saying is there may be a few things correct which is very little if at all.

 

We should only believe leaks like the last few weeks before the movie comes out. When world premieres start happening/reviews. That's how Maul in Solo got leaked.

I dunno I just think D-O is minor, the major beats seem to be aligning with MSW. I mean the whole X - Wing stuff is not brand new information. We have known since TLJ the ship was stripped and sank so it doesn't make sense. But then again if we look at JP information Rey goes to Ach - to skittles her ship has a chat and pops back. I think she's probably on Ach to a lot more than than JP lets on. Let's not forget MSW on his podcast said Scotland was being used as a stand in rather than Ireland in the reshoots. Maybe am quite liberal with give and takes with rumours but if I see patterns emerging like I do with MSW / JP / Bespin Bulletin I tend to think there is probably some truth in the details. That's all if its wrong it's wrong, am not going to go after them with pitch forks.

 

I've said as much above. My comments reflect my feelings about the leaks as presented. I realize the leaks are incomplete and there is obvious stuff missing. What is also true that throughout the trilogy the "leakers" have focused on Rey....but what is also true is most of the story so far turns out to be Rey (and Kylo) and their is not much to leak on anybody else. My fear is that the lack of focus on everybody else is not just the leakers being about Reylo but the filmmakers being about the same thing.

 

These are details so small who really cares? These are the type of details I kind of expect to get lost in translation.

I only expect broad strokes to be accurate. Who lives and dies and where does Rey go and who does she face.
