I am not a fan of comics, I never read them, except some of SW once in a while (like two or three comics every ten years :D) but I have a connection with the character of Batman that I don't have with any other super-hero.

And this connection was created probably because I've watched the first Batman (the Tim Burton's version) in the theaters back in 1989 (or it was 1990 in Brazil? I don't know exactly).

It was such great experience back there. My friend's father took us to see the movie. The line was huge and once the film started there were people sitting on the floor, stairs, etc...It was packed!

The only Batman movie (solo) that I missed in the theaters was Batman Returns, the other ones not. I just loved the Nolan's trilogy for the character and specially Joker last year.

Now I've just seen the trailer of this new The Batman and I really liked. I think this movie has a lot of potential: from the cast, designs and photography that we can see in this trailer. Just not so confident in Robert Pattinson as Bruce/Batman but maybe he will surprise me (I hope).

What about you? Are you going to the theaters to see this one, or you will pass it?

Some pictures that I found and would like to share:

Of course, assuming that a vaccine is available by the time this movie comes out. Given that production is stalled due to a member of the crew contracting the virus (heavily rumored to be Robert Pattinson, but I'm not sure if it's been officially confirmed yet), I don't expect this movie to come out until late 2021...and by that point we should ideally have a vaccine of some sort in production.

In terms of Batman, he's not my favorite superhero, but he's in my top 5. I've liked most of the iterations of live action Batman I've seen, but my ideal Batman will forever be Kevin Conroy's version from The Animated Series.

New iterations of superheroes are always exciting because every new actor and director brings with them a new energy and a new perspective. These don't always work out, but it's exciting nevertheless.

The release date of the movie was always set for October 2021. So you're right.

I'm excited for the movie. For the first time we can witness Detective Batman on the big screen.

I'll be at my favorite movie theater on day for this. I haven't been at a theater since december for Rise of Skywalker and haven't since because of the pandemic and won't go back until next for The Batman!

Batman is my favorite comic book hero and I am very much into comics and superheroes!

I am ready to give Robert Pattinson a chance.
He is hardly to blame for the awfulness of Twilight, the original books were already terrible. He could not much do to improve them. He will probably do his best as Batman so people can forget his Edward role.

Personally I just hope that they don’t use the Joker as the Big Bad already it the first movie. He had too much overexposure already. I hope for a villain who was not used in any of the movies so far like Killer Croc, Black Mask, Deadshot, Mad Hatter, Clayface, Zsaz, Professor Hugo Strange, or Arnold Wesker AKA the Ventriloquist.

Robert Pattinson has grown significantly since his Twilight days. He isn't just the Twilight boy anymore. He has performed in a number of independent films that have highlighted his strengths as an actor. It's one of the major reasons Christopher Nolan wanted him in his film the Tenet (2020). I recently watched The Lighthouse (2019) an independent film directed by Robert Eggers, stars William Defoe and Robert Pattinson, an eerie film that really showcased Pattinson's acting chops.

This Batman film is rumored to have horror elements, as an avid comic book collector and self-publisher, Batman has been depicted in this method in numerous DC publications especially with the artist Doug Moench: https://images.app.goo.gl/XUdYCafTbHeLJbhz9 also, the question: is Batman as unhinged as the Joker? Is Bruce Wayne psychologically impaired? Is it really theatrics that compels him to dress up in a cape and cowl?

Since the 1980's comic books took a major leap, from comic strips just for kids to major literary works by some of the most sophisticated writers and artist from around the world, notedly The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller artist, writer, and filmmaker: https://images.app.goo.gl/Zyvpsr1EuW2bUM3s8 and of course, The Watchmen: https://images.app.goo.gl/ufVX99bCzEyMrEq4A by literary English giant Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons. Chris Claremont and John Byrne both English writers and artists team who propelled the X-Men to unforeseen heights. Marvel and DC comics editors, recruited the most talented artist and writers from around the globe, to elevate the medium, some still consider just for kids...

Furthermore, I haven't seen a child in a comic book store in over 4 decades. Comic books are expensive, $4.99 a pop, $19.99 - $120.00 for collected editions. Whenever I do see children in my local comic book shop they're usually with their comic book collecting parent, or on free comic book day which is a highly marketed event which comes only once a year... Children are playing video games, but be aware there are mature video games as well... some of the language is horrendous in public chat which some parents are not aware of... I will never forget a group of adult males chastised a child with sexually explicit vulgar language, he was probably about 7-10 years old, for playing Call of duty. I was ashamed to be a gamer that day... he is only a child and his parents gave him permission to play that day.

Well, I've never seen the Twilight movies in my life and probably won't see them.never. But I saw him in Cosmopolis (because I really liked Cronenberg) and Pattinson was ok, the movie is boring as hell but he really was ok. Also he was good in the Rover even if it is another boring movie.

I’m not even a huge DC fan and I’m hyped for it. The trailer was pretty fire and I’m looking forward to another fresh reset of Batman movies. I’m not too into the wider DC universe so I’d love it if they set up a Reeves Batman-verse. Hopefully we get to see Dick Grayson/Robin in a future movie.

Im not a comic guy either but bataman was always cool af in my book. Same with ironman, they seemed more believable, because they're just regular guys with no powers other than being really rich.
It looks cool. Im partial to 89 batman myself although the dark knight trilogy was fantastic.
I don't like the Ben Afleck batman. I dunno it was just bad.
Ill give it a look see. That batmobile reminds me of the 60s George Barris one a little. It's cool and everything, but for practical purposes, the Tumbler was a great concept. It was basically a tank he drove around and over the city.
I imagine it'll be similar to Joker, which I thought was interesting, but it wasn't for everyone.

I liked the first trailer more, but holy bat, there is some beautiful cinematography in there. Especially the ending.

Well to answer the question. Honestly the only movies I go to see in theater, are Star Wars movies. I'm a wierd guy, I don't want to watch a movie at someone elses convenience in a room full of strangers. Usually I wait for it to come out on dvd or streaming or actually a lot of times I wait for it to come on tv. But it looks cool, but im tired of wasting time watching bad movies.

I will forever think that it's hilarious that the first trailer gave the somewhat vague release date of ?0?1, and that still ended up being wrong
