@Angelman, interesting post. How can one be infused by the dark side? By dark side user, i.e. the equivalent of Jedi? That means there is a dark side user in the show.

 

Haven't a clue, and I might be wrong. Also, just that stuff was one way in Legends doesn't mean it has to turn out the exact same way in the current Canon So, that stuff could, for instance, be easily skipped. (Also, I might getting stuff mixed up in my head).

 

Edit: I have a new favourite opening scene in Star Wars.

Oh, she's beautiful.

 

Here are some of the screenshots of the battle. After re-watching it several times during the screenshot capture, I can say that the battle is not bad, right movements, right posture, it seems realistic. What made me think it is not really in the style of Ahsoka was the speed. Their movements seems to me to be slow and there are pauses here and there which I don't understand. If it was done faster and with more movement I think I will like it more. It should be like a dance when you look from aside, they just move step in - step out, rotate, step in step out the one who makes the wrong step looses the battle

 

The two guard towers for the village and the Magistrate's residence are both inspired by Ralph Macquarrie

 

I am a full time old school nostalgic and melancholy guy and I always go behind actual technology. At the point I still don't have a blu-ray player, not the best tv in the market (hey but it has HDMI ) and a +10 PC (with this one I have to do something quickly lol).

In my opinion, the more definition there is (specially Star Wars) the less i like it. I remember the first time I saw only one scene from the Return of the Jedi, the Rebel Endor arriving in HD. The coats and all the costumes looked so fake and I thought, "what? This is not the SW I love". Immediatly turnet it off.

In full HD this show (as I see in some of this thread screenshots) for me has too much saturation and the colors are too bright. In my tv I can see it in 1080 with an external hardrive but I have to turn down saturation and increase the contrast cause I find it too dark and saturated with brilliant colors. Then I can watch it.

But I guess it's me. I never get into this Full HD 4k thing XD. I love too much the sensation of watching a film with its classic grain (something a lot of directors do still filming in digital but with a proper photography).

And to not spam with more words this visual thread, I will say for me the beauty it's in the grain. And I really like what they are doing with this show, at least the way i watch it .

Last episode visually set the bar so high.

Although this Robert Rodriguez chapter starts well with aerial images of the temple and the calm of the "like earth" planet, I can only remember a couple of great shots: a close-up from Grogu and one or two from Slave 1 and dark troopers.

It's curious, the most earthly environment and the most fake of all. Didn't liked the photography in this chapter. It seemed a fan made youtube video.
