In a new behind-the-scenes video, actress Ming-Na Wen describes how playing Fennec Shand has been a dream come true for her. She was joined by The Book of Boba Fett showrunner Robert Rodriguez and lead actor Temuera Morrison, who spoke highly about working with her in the new series.

    Rodriguez, said:

    Morrison then added:

Ming-Na Wen herself described Fennec as her dream role:

Wen first appeared as Fennec Shand in The Mandalorian season 1, in 'Chapter 5: The Gunslinger.' While her character was first thought dead, she reappeared in season 2 as the ultimate ally of Boba Fett (with whom she had a life debt), and that alliance eventually evolved into what we now know as The Book of Boba Fett. She also voiced the character in The Bad Batch, the Clone Wars animated spin-off series that debuted in 2021 on Disney Plus (season 2 will come out in 2022 too).

Ming-Na Wen has become a great Star Wars ambassador over the past year or so, actively working with Disney and Lucasfilm to promote the shows and the brand as a whole, and above all, putting smiles on people's faces by transmitting positivity and goodwill. She is one of the biggest champions of the franchise, and will probably continue to be attached to the Star Wars universe for a long time.

You can check her out in The Book of Boba Fett, which is currently streaming on Disney Plus, with new episodes every Wednesday. Make sure to check out John Hoey's review of Chapter 1, and come back regularly for more on the new series.
