    I agree with you.
Tatooine owes his fame because she's the first planet ever seen in Star Wars, because she's Luke's cradle, because it all started here... But actually, Tatooine is a sterile desert, a very poor planet, where nothing really important happens.

Yes. Way too shiny. Like they haven't added the necessary visual grit that we've long since associated with the sw universe, especially what takes place on Tatooine (i.e. as far as grit, that first Mando Trailer). This is however only a trailer and the first at that. I'm going to avoid putting too many eggs in this particular basket.

This is a concern for me, Tatooine is so overused and Boba taking over Tatooine's criminal underworld seems like such a generic plot to me. Hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised and this is one of those rare trailers that hides all the really important stuff.

For now, I am equating it to the difference between the PT and the OT, visually speaking. It more than likely is a visual story cue. Also, modern cameras, where tech is constantly evolving.

Also, long time no see, @Lord Phanatic

Not just Tatooine but (on screen) Geonosis, Jakku, Jedha. (Off screen), Savareen, Pasaana. Lots of desert and to your point, Tatooine has become manufactured.

Be confident in Favreau and Filoni, they know their job. The trailers for the Mandalorian hid everything about Grogu... furthermore, at first glance, a bounty hunter working for the criminal underworld could have sounded a quite boring and generic plot. Let's agree F&F made it a consistent story... plus : they dropped in the shoots some melancholia and old stuff that pleased everyone, and specially the die hard old fans.
I think, since they wanted to make a separate story featuring Boba as the main character, that they have some solid things to say and tell. I trust F&F.

I trust them too and I think it will be really good, I just don't want it to be a missed opportunity. As a spin-off series I hope it goes off the beaten path a bit and takes risks, but even if it doesn't it should still be very fun!

Im not expecting too much. Initially i just figured it would be 30 minutes of boba fett fan service every week, but the trailer looked interesting to me. I always wondered what became of Tatooine after jabbas death. At the end of the SE ROTJ they show people cheering and partying, but Tatooine wasn't under imperial jurisdiction, instead controlled by the Hutts. So, what happened? Criminal organizations just don't vanish. So it'll be cool. Im not expecting Shakespeare.

As far as being Tatooine centric, it makes sense. Firstly because they're filming obi wan during the same time, so reusing sets will save them time and money. And Tatooine is boba fetts stomping ground. It's out of the jurisdiction of the Republic and he's lived there for a long time, and knows it well.
