    Mississippi Roast

    This is one of the most simple and most delicious meals that I make. It's a fire and forget meal done in the crock pot.

    INGREDIENTS:
    4-6 pound roast (pork/beef, watevs).
    One packet of ranch dressing mix (Whatever your preferred or available brand. I use the one pictured).
    One packet of au jus mix (Whatever your preferred or available brand. I use the one pictured).
    One stick of butter or margarine (butter is infinitely better if you have it).
    Peperoncini (Optional. My family don't dig them so I don't use them but I bet they are super-tasty).

    DIRECTIONS:
    Put about 1/4 cup water in the bottom of crock pot.
    Place roast in crock pot.
    Sprinkle contents of ranch seasoning packet onto roast.
    Sprinkle contents of au jus mix on top of that.
    Plant stick of better triumphantly on top of that.

    Cook roast as directed by weight. I do it for about an hour or two on high and then about a couple of hours on low till it is done.

    Shred that thing.
    Put it on taters or rice.
    Don't even need gravy.

    @Ruralfarmboy here some really good comfort food:
    Chicken wings baked in honey!
    Had it yesterday:

    So...
    For 1 kg if chicken wings (i buy them at the market fresh, normally)
    Prepare the marinade the night before:
    1/3 cup of sunflower oil
    1/4 cup of honey
    1/4 cup of dijon mustard
    1/4 cup of soy sauce
    1/4 cup of freshly squeezed lemon juice
    4 cloves of garlic (pressed)

    Make an emulsion of the marinade ingreedients and immerse the chicken in it overnight...mix it few times.

    Baking...heat the oven at 200 C
    Put everything in a shallow baking container spread the rest of marinade over meat... bake for 45-60 min with turning the wings every 20 min or so...
    Eat hot! Can spice it up with chilli.

    Just in case prepare 2 kg...1 wont be enough :D
    This also works with other chicken meat...but i love wings with it the most :)
