SPECULATION The Connection Between Rey and Ben.

nope, I will never be fine with ReyLo, but with his redemption and if he dies then. But no way a ReyLo crap.

 

Unfortunately reality is a little bit darker in this matter, human beings, male or female, keep getting abused repeatedly by the same agressor over and over since there's a strong emotional connection between agressor and victim. IF Rey fall inlove or worship Kylo Ren in any emotional way, he could abuse on her emotions and phisically on a consistent basis with her "approval". (SADLY, but that's just one of the aspects that turn sexual/mental/Physical/emotional abuse so hard to punish). But on a Disney Movie no psychological violence will be portrayed or even mentioned, movies are from La La Land and Disney movies are constructed to leave everybody happy happy happy.

Karma is a B++++, but unfortunately karma is just like the Movies, it doesn't exist. Everytime an innocent Dies in a Car Crash or a young kid is diagnosed with cancer you know there's no justice nor karma in this life.
If someone delivers very bad deeds he is a very bad person without redemption, Kylo killed his father there's no redemption from that, Kylo is a bad thing and will always be a bad thing.

BTW:

I don't like the Reylo Idea at all, Kylo is bad and Rey is Good and in the end the good defeats the evil just like any other Disney Movie.
The path of Anakin from good side to evil side is showned in the first 6 movies but i'm not to confortable with Vader ultimate redemption, he could regret his evil deeds and perform some good actions but those will never wash the bad things he did, Anakin died as a bad guy.

 

All I can say about what a bad idea "Reylo" is, is what my friend Han Solo said:

Bad choice. I guarantee you that in the re-imagined live action version that is about to drop, they are totally going to downplay the story of kidnapping and potential abuse that the original Beauty and the Beast showed. It is simply not a sensible story for modern times where filmmakers, like Lucasfilm, Disney, and especially Kathy Kennedy, have extolled the virtue of strong female characters and the empowerment of women... and rightfully so.

The connection between Rey and Ben Solo is so simple and obvious, as it is a direct reflection of what the ST has always been about: The Legacy of Darth Vader, with his duality expressed separately in his grandchildren. Rey will be tempted by the dark, just as Kylo Ren is trying to extinguish the light. Yin and yang. In the OT, that duality was expressed both in Anakin himself and in the temptation of the New Hope. Of course anything is possible, but I can almost guarantee that this is the true nature of the relationship between these characters in the ST.

 

i emphatically agree that this is what the ST is about.
i also emphatically believe they don't have to be blood related for this to be what the ST is about.

I am in no way into sappy Reylo stuff, just that there will be some kind of Reylo, romantic or not, and I am ok with that, but I don't get the haters and the no thanks.

Makes me think about the whole Kenobi thing again though. I mean, the events of the past dictates that the Kenobi/Skywalker story is entwined. I don't think it's all that strong an idea but I prefer it to Rey Skywalker. Rey Solo would've made a lot more sense to me prior to TFA. That film and other canon material makes that so remote for me now and if it is the case then I fear it makes a mockery out of TFA.

Yeah, it's not like they didn't have that before. And well, Game of Thrones. Cousins are iffy though, cousins can even marry in some states. Seriously. Phil Spector's parents were first cousins...bad example maybe. Actually they don't have to be lovers or siblings, but there will be some kind of partnership of some sort.

I'm Thinking about some "50 Shades of DARK"

 

Rey and Kylo have a connection in several ways but not as blood, or lovers...they both feel lonely, both have a gift, both want to find Luke, both want and have had Vader's Lightsaber and the list goes on, but the aren't related.

When it comes to VIII I thinl they will have less in common other than they will be bitter enemies, or Kylo taunted by Snoke may try and turn Rey just to hurt Luke.

 

MSW, in one of their podcast several months ago, said that based on what they had heard from their sources, there is no romance between Rey and Kylo Ren.
