This may have been posted somewhere else, but whatever.

In the concept art we've seen, there has been an interesting character in many of the pieces: a cyborg.
For example, one piece shows Rey approaching a hooded figure. You can just make out a cybernetic leg. In another piece, what looks like Rey and Finn are fighting a cyborg, who has his hand held up in a menacing "force choke" manner. So my question is: if Darth Plagueis really IS in this movie, then is the cyborg him (or Andy Serkis' character anyways)? Is he a beaten-up Kylo Ren? Or is he someone else? Did he even make it into the final film? Just some questions, feel free to add your thoughts, and if this should be merged with another thread, then that's fine.

The first cyborg is either a very old man or a wounded man (posibly boba fett since their is a spinoff about his breakout of the sarlac pit e.t.c.) he is most definitely not a sith lord.

As far as I know, nothing has been confirmed about the cyborg from the concept art. So your guess is as good as anyone's at this point. It's all just speculation and opinions.

I think that there are several pieces of concept art that had cyborg or cyborg like components. But I don't think they are all the same character.

The guy at the bar is more of a drunk he was by some connected to MVS. There is another concept pic which is definitely MVS that has come up in the last few days which looks less cyborg but might be the same character as the cyborg at the bar. The hooded cyborg or cyborg like guy might be a completely different character. I think that is possibly early drafts of Kylo Ren.

To be fair, I have mentioned several other places that there seems to be some confusion when associating the character of MvS (who is rumored to be Montross, and a cyborg) with the character of the Grave Robber from the concept art, who potentially has a mask on and some think may be a cyborg. They are two distinctly different characters

Maybe the supposed cyborgs hand? Or just a droid like 3p0. I think it was also rumored it my be Luke's hand since the design looks the same

Luke's hand has "skin" in ESB.

Those definitely look like rocks next to a beach, and Luke's enclave is the only location which matches that terrain.

Here's a screenshot from ESB for comparison:

I would love it to be Vader's experiment (in between ROTS and ANH), still grieving his lost of Padme and the unborn child, wants to recreate Life (a machine that is basically his anti-self). This machine wants to become human, is programmed to do so.

This machine was abandoned when Vader finds out about Luke, his biological son being alive.

SO the machine, by the time of TFA is on its way to become so human at a point that he is now able to use The Force.

Luke fights his "brother" at the end of TFA and kills it.

    A in
A interesting trip from humanity to loss & pain I would not want to go through was Anakin did. As to Luke killing his brother if your referring to Luuke the clone of him Im lost I hope it features in TFA but going forward im not sure.

I don't see it being a clone but Vader's creation. Like a C3P0 2.0. That goes on a quest to learn about its master (since it becomes more a more human, it envisions it more like his father) and also on the trace of the biological children of Anakin. Maybe Luke doesn't kill it... Maybe, the Cyborg sacrifices itself to save Luke and/or Leia at the end.

It is a little bit of a stretch to try and confirm that the cyborg hand we saw in that picture is Luke's. There's very little to go off of in the glimpse we get between the set pic and the ESB pic.

I have a suspicion that it was only used to misdirect us after the floating hand rumours came out.

C3p0 was a interesting creation took think he was a translating counterpart of r2d2 I always wonder do cyborg's experience emotion like a human maybe Anakin placed it in his consciousness to show it at certain moments I think it would be a redeeming way out the cyborg did bad things then sacrifice itself for their survival.

Could be... 3PO was created by Anakin... R2 was on Naboo circa Palpatine & Plagueis... and the saga is about them chronicling the events

I think the story will have this concept to it, I watched Return Of The Jedi recently and it seems kind of apparent that someone come along and be the 'What Luke could have been' character, who's jealous/resentful towards him etc. The sequel trilogy will make watching the originals even more fun I think.
