The "Darth Jar Jar" Theory: Does it fit in The Clone Wars?

    So, for those of you who haven't heard, there's been a theory on Reddit that's caused a good chunk of the Star Wars community to explode: that George Lucas originally intended to reveal Jar Jar as a highly trained Sith Lord and Palpatine's partner in crime. You can find the whole, in-depth theory here, but for those who don't like to read long things, here's the abridged version:
    • Jar Jar can leap 20-something feet in the air like a Jedi and Sith.
    • Many of his staggering movements mimic "Zui Quan" (or "Drunken Fist"), a martial art style that relies on moving like a drunkard to confuse and deceive.
    • People tend to get real friendly or cooperative around him when he waves his hands towards them; a Jedi (or Sith) mind trick, perhaps?
    • For a clumsy idiot, he kills far too many droids and gets too many big promotions (general of the Gungan army, Senate representative of Naboo) to be written off as luck, which Obi-Wan says there is no such thing.
    • George Lucas originally intended the prequels to mirror the events and themes of the original trilogy; and if an annoying swamp creature on Dagobah turned out to be the ultimate force of good in the galaxy, shouldn't there be a similar, unassuming creature representing the ultimate evil?
    Naturally, this would explain a lot of plot holes in the prequels and would've made sense of Jar Jar's role in the trilogy, but the sad thing is that if this is true, it means George Lucas really chickened out big time when he reduced Jar Jar's role just because fans hated the character so much. Still, given George's heavy involvement in "The Clone Wars", I want to know: does this theory of an evil Jar Jar still hold up in the episodes he appears in? And is there hope that he might still end up being revealed as the bane of the galaxy everyone more or less sees him as already, but for a different reason?

    I doubt he's going to be a major character in the ST.

    That said, it's interesting to note that he's romantically engaged with a force-sensitive queen:

    Personally I skipped those episodes, but as far as I know, no it doesn't. That doesn't mean it can't retroactively fit in (all the Jar Jar we see is what they decide to show us and/or he's wooing the queen to learn the secrets of the Force that she and her religion find out). That being said, there'd need to be a lot of retconning at this point (not impossible, just unlikely and for the most part unprofitable).

    I agree with the @Background Character he could have done a better job, tell Sidious the emergency powers idea had been scrapped & to stick his worries for the senate where the darkside doesn't shine, I know he never asked them just manipulated the players involved.
