I have to say that I didn't get the dice's point at first showing. I consider myself a huge OT fan, but apparently not big enough to understand the significance behind it (I never noticed them in the Falcon before). This in my first viewing.

Maybe it's just me, but it bothered me at first because I felt a bit stupid not to get it considering myself a big fan and all. I had to look it up on the internet, and then... ahh I get it, clever.

So, I like this subtle "little" touch, and enjoyed it in my following views of the film.

However, I can't help to feel that it received too much importance (appearing in multiple scenes with perceived importance) without the filmmakers realizing hat many people (myself included) would probably not get it, and they are the fans. How are those scenes involving the dice even compreensible for non-fans? So, Luke picks it up from the Falcon's cockpit, but no exposition is given to what they stood for, or was there? Am I missing something?

Kylo Ren will die, but not Ben Solo. The Skywalkers will live on. In peace.

after the dice go, he closes his hand in a fist.
it's a very Dark side thing; Rey does it in the cave.
and Ben does it whenever something isn't going his way or he's about to do something questionable.

but i've been thinking that maybe this bit of Dark side isn't necessarily the worst thing.
    it's frustration, it's anxiety.
it's a way of grounding/trying to stay in control.
Kylo Ren isn't in control. he's a mess.
the clenching of the fist is not Kylo Ren.

That's something what I like about TLJ. The focus on hands. Everytime when something special happens we see the hands first. Even when Kylo is thinking about killing Luke on Crait. => We see a close up of Kylo's fist and his lightsaber.
