The dreams are beginning

My dreams seem to about the experience of trying to see TFA verses the movie itself. I wake up right as the Stars Wars logo appears on the screen with the music of John Williams. Or in my dream the the movie screen is a hanging white bed sheet or a small T.V. screen. My favorite is that the movie started and it is not TFA but some other movie and I accidentally sat in the wrong theater.

 

I too have had a couple dreams and just as you have said its about the time leading up to seeing the movie, with family, in line and prepping up for it kind of things. But one thing you said really hit me with the white bed sheet thing. I had received the first set of Star Wars DVD through the mail at the barracks. And with everyone being in a crappy mood I decided along with a friend to put on a showing, we tied a bed sheet between the bed posts and projected the movie onto it. It was awesome, both sides of the barracks could see it as the sheets were a bit translucent and everyone was having a blast. We even had a visit from the 1st Sgt rolling through to inspect the barracks at the time. The best part was when we were scrambling to toe the line and stand at ease he yelled for everyone to carry on and he watched the movie with us for a bit. It was the best movie experience I ever had. I dream about that from time to time.

 

I had a weird TFA dream today, Finn was beaten up on the ground of the snowy forest, Kylo, ready to give him the final blow is surprised by TARDIS.
The Doctor (David Tennant ) somehow saves Finn and says "come with me if you want to live" (Arnold Schwarzenegger style) to Rey.
Then they land on Naboo where Luke is chilling w/ some twi'lek chicks. He screams "MA BABY GURL" when he sees Rey and says she will totally become a Jedi. And it comes out that the Doctor is the new Chosen one.

I think I saw the future *GASP*

 

A few nights ago I dreamed that TFA was a mediocre movie. It was horrible.

 

Last night I drempt the Finn/Rey v Kylo Ren scene. Finn fought well for the first twenty seconds then got his arm lobbed off and part of his face was badly scarred. Rey, in a fit of rage, force grabbed the lightsaber and just beat the ever living hell out of Kylo, pushing him back to a precipice where he ultimately fell to an "off screen death" (read: he didn't die, just fell). I was so excited to see Rey using a lightsaber that I didn't catch what she said to Kylo as he fell. Then I woke up.

 

I haven't had any Force Awakens dreams yet. But back in the pre Phantom Menace days my mind was racing. I had a bunch of dreams about the movie. In one, it was a musical. Yoda started talking and then burst into song about "this digital mode" or some nonsense and I woke up aghast.

In another dream it was a horrific dystopian society where even reproduction was controlled by the Republic. I won't go into details beyond that, but it was chilling.

I can't decide which dream was more frightening, but actually reality may have been the scariest of all. "Yippeee!"

I am not the kind to even usually remember my dreams at all, but last night I had two distinct 'Force Awakens' dreams. I guess it was the spaghetti i had for dinner .

1. I was at opening night watching the movie, and in the middle of the movie there was a scene that went into a cartoon, basicallly breaking the fourth wall. I was like 'This is ridiculous, i can't believe they put this in here'. I remember being very put-out and left the theater.

2. This is kind of a downer, but i guess the news of the day is weighing on my subconsience. I was at work in an office building, and I looked out the window and could see people in the office building across the street in a panic, falling over each other trying to race out the building. I was like 'is a bad storm coming?'. And then I turned around and realized terrorist were in our office building rounding everyone up. All I could think was "I have waited 2 years to see Star Wars I have to find a way out of here". I'm pretty sure i woke up at that point, because it is all still pretty vivid to me.
