Sometimes when you lace up your brand new “re”boots you might walk out your front door feeling all happy and then…you step in poop.
    So…with that said….
The Fantastic Four Reboot is looking like, if rumors are true, a script filled with awful ideas. Its almost like Marvel had to stop the Fantastic Four line of comics just because they heard about how bad this is. I am hoping it doesn’t get Josh Trank fired from Star Wars…seriously.
I won’t go into the rumors on computer hacker Dr. Doom… or racism concerning the torch (which MBJs casting doesn’t bother me at all and could be cool) but the idea that so much is changing for no reason is hard to deal with.
So, trying to stay positive on the subject. I hope its fails and the rights are sold cheaply back to Marvel in time for Silver Surfer to get to come home and fight Thanos…
Anyone seen any positive news about this movie or are we about to see a Chronicle sequel that involves a frat party with four random friends who science?

I've heard nothing good about this movie.

I wonder if anyone on this site has even heard about this horrid release… haha
I would honestly…in all seriousness…like to hear a valid argument for why someone would want to watch this. We haven’t even seen a teaser poster for a teaser poster and this movie comes out in August? Is that right? I figure we would have at least heard something positive and marketing-ish.

If Fox has any lick of sense, they'll release a trailer for the Super Bowl. Even if this movie is terrible (and I haven't really heard anything good or interesting about the movie other than "it has teh doombutz!11!!!one"), it would at least generate some interest in the movie at the expense of airing a Super Bowl ad (and I've seen mostly apathy or disgust from those that have read up on the movie). If they don't, then the studio clearly doesn't care about anything other than getting a large paycheck from Marvel for the rights (hey, it's working for Sony).

The people that I have seen look forward too the movie have just gone with generic responses: "we know about as much about this as we do Ant-Man" or "wait until actual footage comes out to make a judgment". Considering that Marvel promoted Ant-Man a few times in the past before the trailer and that Fox has only posted a vague outline of the movie now, I think that says a lot about how well they think this movie is going to do. It's telling when people are more hyped for Ant-Man and Batman V. Superman: Dawn Of Justice (which doesn't even come out for more than a year) than they are for this movie. Speaking of Ant-Man, if I do see this movie in theaters, it will most likely be through me buying a ticket for that and sneaking into The Forgettable Four afterward.

This movie is going to be bad and I refuse to do anything to support it. I won't even watch it for free.

The bigger it flops the sooner the rights will revert to Marvel and we can see the FF done right for the first time ever.

The trailer is going to come out on February 13.

Given what I've just read about the rumored production trouble, I have negative expectations at this point.

The movie will premiere in August, and we have nothing about it. Not a single photo, either a teaser. They're screwing up. I won't spend my money with this trash garbage. There are another good movies this year. Avengers 2, Ant-Man, Imitation Game, Jurassic World, Penguins of Madagascar and the best one: TFA. I don't think I'll regret not watching the movie.

Yes indeed on 06/08/15 we will forced to witness the troublesome foursome try to make a comeback, I think most of the cast are unknown to me

When Marvel's first family finally comes home to the MCU who could you see portraying them?
    Here's my ideas:
Johnny Storm/Human Torch - Alex Pettyfer
    [IMG]
This guy is a pretty good actor. I could see him pulling off the cocky-ness of Johnny Storm pretty well.

Susan Storm/Invisable Woman - Alice Eve
    [IMG]
She looks similar to Pettyfer so they could pull off the brother/sister look. Ony downside I see would be her British accent.

Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic - Simon Baker
    [IMG]
As seen on his TV show, The Mentalist he can be charming, serious, and silly, perfect for Stretch.

Ben Grimm/The Thing - Woody Harrelson
    [IMG]
Woody would be a great Ben Grimm. His wit and humor would be perfect for the part, and I could totes see him going at it with Alex Pettyfer's flame boy.

Victor von Doom/Dr. Doom - Javier Bardem
    [IMG]
If Marvel decides to go the Dr. Doom route again, Bardem would be my choice for the man in the iron mask. When they go for the Masters of Evil later on, he and Tom Hiddleson's Loki would be awesome together.

    Galactus - John de Lancie
    [IMG]
This time we want the big purple version of Galactus. John de Lancie, Star Trek: TNG's Q, would be a perfect choice for Galactus. If they want to use the "Ultimate" cloud version of Galactus, have him turn into a cloud to fly around the galaxy but not have that as his only form.

Silver Surfer/Norrin Radd - Keanu Reeves
    [IMG]
"I'm the Silver Surfer brah!" No, just kidding. Keanu would be a cool Silver Surfer. He has that look about him as well as being a good actor, he could even use his real voice.

Here are Fox's supposed plans for what to do if the movie bombs. The only way the rights will immediately go back is if it bombs as hard as, say, The Adventures Of Pluto Nash. Or if it underperforms and Disney shoves a ton of money down their throats.

At this point, though, I doubt the X-Men crossover will ever happen even if the movie does okayish at the box office. I think that Marvel officially put their foot down on that behind the scenes, which is why they backpedaled so hard on it.

Plus, if this leak is true (and pretty much everything about it has been right so far or strongly rumored to be right), the people at Marvel are so confident that this movie is going to bomb that they're actually betting that the rights will return to them before Stan Lee passes on. And the dude's 92.
