The production for the movie took 72 days. Reshoots for the movie lasted nearly three months. Let that sink in.

The budget for this turkey is about to explode.

I thought this was a rock golem from a new Scorpion King film not the Thing. Very wrong.

The lighting on that image is so bad. It looks like a PS2 game.

At least the other shot of the Thing looked like it was rendered better.

There's more than one image floating around? Post it so I can make fun of it.

Blah. It still looks like it belongs in a not Marvel film. I'm so glad it's not MCU.

Given the review embargo and the delays of showings in certain international regions, color me unsurprised.

Part of it sounds like Josh Trank really wasn't ready to take on a project of this size, part of it sounds like Simon Kinberg really dropped the ball after making a good name for himself with X-Men: Days Of Future Past, and part of it being a soulless rights-clinging exercise in hopes of crossing the characters over with the X-Men (which they can't legally do due to restraints in the contracts, which requires Marvel Studio's approval).

I really hope that they decide to know when to fold them and hand the rights back to Marvel's control after some kind of negotiation.

Just finished watching Fantastic Four...what a mess of a film. There are some really neat parts and the acting was pretty good, but it's quite obviously the victim of studio hack-n-slash editing. I would really like to know what Trank's original cut would have been like, but this version is just terrible. Oh well, another movie with great potential squandered by people who have no idea how to handle it; time for Marvel to make a deal with Sony and get their First Family back.

On a side note, it really made me appreciate other terrible movies, like the prequels or Indiana Jones 4. At least movies like that feel full, like they missed the mark but at least there was some substance to them; this just felt empty, like an extended tv pilot with not enough ideas to fill the time.

Collider Movie talk have spoken to some "sources", sounds like fox came in and took over the project, even some suggestion that in the editing phase that trank was kept away. Sounds like both sides had a role in this train wreck.

You mean 20th Century Fox, not Sony.
