In preparation for Rebels season two I've been playing Star Wars history and lore through my head on repeat.

I'm not entirely sure if this has been discussed elsewhere but I was thinking what a grim end to the series it would be if the characters just died.

I know there's nothing explicitly stating they couldn't have been around through the original trilogy but seeing as Yoda knows of Kanan's existence and the Rebel fleet is most likely also aware, just seems a bit strange nobody would ever think to mention this to Luke.

Could there be a possibility Kanan and Ezra will be reused for future projects? If so how?

My first thought would be carbonite or a similar method. Freezing them gives Lucasfilm a chance to revisit these characters at any point in Star Wars future if that's the case which could be really exciting.

I just think Ezra's story arc especially would be a huge disappointment if he's never able to get to where he wants to be!

    Ok here's mine:

I personally have this nagging feeling that despite several counseling sessions with Force Ghosts, as well as any further Jedi information that he will learn, I am fearful that Kanan will sacrifice himself to ultimately save Ezra.

I am almost imagining that afterwards (as Rebels comes to a close), Ezra will understand that as an act of self preservation, that he will step away from outrightly needing to be a Jedi and...fade to black, somewhat like Ahsoka did at the end of TCW.

As for Ahsoka, I think that she'll live also, primarily as she has been mentioned in "Aftermath" (as she was referred to as Fulcrum so I'm told) which I'm presently reading, albeit slowly.

Now, I attended the "press-only" Rebels conference at Celebration Anaheim in April, and Dave Filoni DID say (in my presence) that he'd be "all for" having a Rebels member cross over into the movies and would be more that overjoyed to assist in that transition if ever asked...but he didn't actually say whether or not he'd already been asked, which is possible.

Kanan dies and Ezra and Ahsoka live....my prediction. ;)

I'm a big fan of Kanan sacrificing himself, it seems like the natural way to go if Ezra survives

although this has been used everywhere from the original marvel comics run to KotOR games if you watch ESB the scene pretty much spells out that this is a pretty radical idea to use carbonite to freeze someone and may even be one of the first times anyone has ever thought to do such.

just want to nerd out on that fact because i see it way overused based on the reactions and dialogue from the scene :)

I'm fine with any other method reaching the same ends like say the sleep pods from the Alien franchise.

here is my unique but unlikely idea:
They stumble upon info or proof of this new idea they have been pushing about Palpatine's interest beyond the Rim and stow away aboard an Imperial convoy heading out there and are still fighting the good fight in 'the Beyond'
    ;)

I think Ezra will turn to the Dark Side and we will all be surprised to find out that he is Kylo Ren.

@Amanaman I don't think the ages will line up for Kylo Ren (unless it was a carbonite frozen Ezra). I do think that either A) Ezra will go to the Dark Side (at least for a bit - it would make a good season-long or at least 4-5 episode long arc) and/or B) Ezra might have some connection to Kylo Ren...maybe. I always thought that Max Von Sydow's character would be a very old (and possibly very jaded) Kanan.

Well that depends on what age Ezra really is. Remember that the ages in SW are always a little blurry. Padme and Leia were both between 13-15 years old in the movies though they actually looked way older. Has Ezra's age been said in Rebels?

He was born on Empire day and according to Pablo Hidalgo is a couple of days older than Luke and Leia.

My guess is that Ezra is gonna turn to the dark side bc Zebb died (and it kinda was his fault) he feels betrayed from the ghost crew and kills Sabine in his anger.
Kanan will kill him in a epic Battle. Kanan and Hera leave the Alliance and go build a house on Alderaan, the rest is history :D(epic fail)

Hi. I just posted this on one of the home page articles and surprised myself at what a god idea it could be. What do you think?

Could Rebels morph into a "Beyond the Rim Adventures" series? I think it "could"..possibly.... ;)

Here is my other unlikely theory:

There used to be a few threads on the forum about "The Seven"
Now that Sarah Michelle Gellar has been revealed as "The Seventh Sister" Inquisitor on Rebels maybe there were Seven Inquisitors total?

(A total Guess on my part)
    - The Grand Inquisitor
    - Snoke
    - Ren
    Knights of Ren including Kylo
    - ?????
    - Fifth Brother
    - ?????
    - Seventh Sister

One of these 5 and the other two unknowns - possibly seen in Aftermath trying to buy the lightsaber?

The three mysterious figures – two in black robes, and one a pale young woman who speaks in strained whispers

I'm sure there is all kinds of wrong in the post. Just Speculating.
Also on another thread somewhere in the forum I think someone mentioned one of the new books had a call out to Snoke... maybe being a Rear Admiral or something?
Maybe he led the mission for Palpatine.

I do think either Snoke or this 'Ren' were already out there Beyond the Rim and then the Imperial remnant came upon them.

in the Luke Skywalker young adult adventure and is a scavenger with an electrostaff. And then on Jakku in TFA
