[IMG]Here is the new trailer for the first ever live action Star Wars television series, The Mandalorian! The series will be exclusive to Disney Plus and is comprised of eight episodes for its first season.

Bounty hunting is a complicated profession, but watching new live action Star Wars is about to be much less complicated, as you can do so in the comfort of your home or on-the-go when Disney Plus launches on November 12. The first episode will be available to watch at launch, with the remaining seven episodes arriving on November 15, November 22, November 29, December 6, December 13, December 18, and December 27.

In typical Lucasfilm fashion, the trailer for the series does not give away much in terms of plot details (which is unsurprising, given that the first episode apparently has a huge Star Wars spoiler in it that changes the game for many stories). All that we definitively know here is that it's set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi. However, the trailer showcases several stunning visuals for the series, which looks to be as ambitious as any Star Wars film. But don't take our word for it - check it out below!

The Mandalorian is written by showrunner Jon Favreau, alongside Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, and Christoph Yost. The series is directed by Filoni, Famuyiwa, Deborah Chow, (who is slated to direct the untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi series), Bryce Dallas Howard, and Taika Waititi (who will also play the bounty hunter IG-11 on the series). The show's cast includes Pedro Pascal as The Mandalorian, Gina Carano as Cara Dune, Giancarlo Esposito as Moff Gideon, and Carl Weathers as Greef Carga. Other cast members include Nick Nolte, Emily Swallow, Werner Herzog, Ming-Na Wen, and Bill Burr. A second season has been greenlit and is currently filming, with Weathers and Favreau directing episodes. The show is executive produced by Favreau, Filoni, Colin Wilson, and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. Greg Fraiser handles cinematography while Ludwig Göransson provides the musical score.

The Mandalorian debuts on November 12, the date Disney Plus officially launches in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands. The service will launch on November 19 in Australia and New Zealand. Launch dates for subsequent regions happening have yet to be revealed, but Western Europe expected to get the service early next year; it is expected that Disney Plus will be virtually global by the end of its second full year.

Looks amazing. I love all the nods to/from across the saga/universe, yet it feels like it is its own thing too.

Rarely have I been so tempted by the dark side of the Force internet but I shall resist, and await Disney to get their act together.

Very well Sir Disney. You make me sad. :p

It does look great though, happy for those who will get to see it first.

Trailer is so cool! Love it!
Although they just extended some of the previous shots from the first trailer and added a few (and really really cool) ones. But that's understandable. They can not show us a lot of next episodes. I guess these trailers are mostly scenes from episode 1.
Love, the spaceport, dewbacks and that kind of Star Wars rhinoceros ;P
Love the vibe. Hope the story will be competent.
    Can't wait!!

Only regret here : I do not subscribe to Disney+ streaming service.
    Too bad.

Still looking forward to Mandalorian very much, but honestly the trailer added nothing new to what I am expecting. I think the opening is the perfect example. Both trailers start with the exact same thing.

I heared of November, 12 somewhere...

The post is much more killer than that... It appears D+ wanted so high protection, the most popular devices cannot pass the limitations... they have 12 days to solve a DRM problem : good luck to them!

I'm definitely excited for this, and know it'll be a fantastic show.

But am I alone in thinking that the trailers haven't been particularly overwhelming yet?

I mean, the drop ship and Super Battle Droids are all cool, Herzhog is fantastic, the concept and aesthetics are top notch... but I feel like I don't really know what we're getting into quite yet.

And that's fine- they've already sold me on a subscription, anyway ;)

I suspect a high level of "cowboys&indians smell" in that show.
Just the beginning of the trailer, with all these stormtroopers heads planted on piles, like Native American were used to, is a sufficient enough to start the "'once-upon-a-time-in-the-west" style.

It's weird. They have shown us almost nothing, and yet I'm super excited about this show. Way more so than I am about TROS. This just looks and feels like Star Wars.

The trailer definitely shows that The Mandalorian has the potential to be a great cinematic television show. I truly hope the characters are dynamic and engaging. The aesthetics look awesome. I just want this series to be great. I really want this series to succeed even more than TROS. If this show is successful and is written well and the characters are lovable, than Star Wars live action T.V. will have a strong foundation for its future television projects that are not animated.

Again I am a bit of a contrarian. Mandalorian feels like 60% Star Wars and that is because without the presences of the Force it will be missing a core piece of Star Wars. Thats why I hope beyond nothing else that the big thing that The Mandalorian will go after has something to do with the Force. Even if it is just some relic or something. I have faith because of Filoni involvement that this will be the case.
